Fast and Furious Crime

The latest take on the criminal "Fast and Furious" escapade of Barry Soetoro and his Yankee Nation Attorney General is from the Democrat Party hacks. They are contending that no evidence exists to prove that the operation was "fatally flawed". In other words, the concept of the operation was valid but the mechanics of it were not.

If there is not anyone in the Yankee Nation's capitol city who would dare to press criminal charges against this pair of decidedly inept executives, then maybe some may be found after next inauguration day.

The Yankee Nation's weal has long since been eclipsed by a gathering gloom of murky and ham-handed ineptitude.

Hunting Humans

Actor spent a long time thinking about the dynamic of what he was doing: hunting humans. "After all", he thought, "that's exactly what the government pays me to do". It wasn't like the combat a Marine experiences; the Border Patrol was of a different quality. Hunting humans as a Border Patrol Agent was a more solitary affair than it had been in the Marines. In the Marines, Actor had numerous other Marines around him. he was their leader; their Lieutenant.

In the Border Patrol, Actor hunted by himself. At the most, during a chase, he would hunt with one other Agent. This was the case with all Agents in the Old Patrol. They would team-up for a chase. It went faster that way.

Actor liked night hunting most of all. Signcutting and chasing the sign was a huge thrill but, most of all, Actor loved was the Old Patrol called "Stillwatch" or "Laying-In". Stillwatch was similar to what Actor had learned in the Marine Corps as "Ambush". Actor loved to do stillwatch at night.

Night hunting is closed-in by darkness. Everything seems to be closer than it really is. Even when the sky is cloudless and the moon in at its full phase the darkness creates a protective veil of anonymity that cannot be pierced unless the hunter wishes it to be. Secluded along a like point of entry or near an expected course of Tonk travel, Actor and his fellow Agents could wait to spring their apprehension at a time they chose.

Tonks often though stillwatch was unfair to them; especially when it resulted in their arrest. Actor knew better. It was the Tonk who decided to enter the Yankee Nation without inspection. It was the Tonk who chose the spot at which he would "Jump the Line" with the intent of not being detected. It was the Tonk who chose to sneak. Actor and his fellow Agents chose to stillwatch in order to play by the Tonk's rules.

Stillwatch at night necessitated proper precautions: not bathing in scented soap before the shift began, not smoking, chewing or dipping during the stillwatch, not using a flashlight for any reason and completely concealing the Agent's vehicle. Sometimes the vehicle concealment would mean placing it in "hull defalade" behind a canal bank. Other times, it would require Actor to hide his vehicle in a citrus grove or on a crowded parking lot (if the stillwatch was done in town).

When laid-in, Actor had plenty of time to think. The subject of his thoughts were usually centered-around lessons taught to him by senior agents such as Mundo, Dean, Anglico or Terry. Sometimes when Actor was stillwatching he had one of his own Trainees with him. Before they laid-in, Actor would tell the Trainee to do nothing but watch what he did. The only time the Trainee was to act was if the Tonks were combative and were too numerous for Actor to subdue on his own. That was they way the older Agents had taught Actor and it was the way Actor taught his Trainees.

Laying-in at night (or even in the daylight) offered solid proof to the Tonks that there was actually someone who could anticipate their movements; that there was someone just a little smarter than they were. For Actor, the activity was a validation of all he had learned from the Agents who had gone before him. If he could get inside the Tonk's heads for even a short period of time, he knew that he could rain all over their parade. That was the way it had always been done - ever since there was a Border Patrol.

Don't Hold Your Breath

This coming Friday, the Yankee Nation Supreme Court will decide whether or not it will hear the New Jersey case concerning the actual birthplace of Barry Soetoro. All anxious birthers may read the story in a Yankee periodical.

Whatever the outcome, Barry's illegal alien aunt will probably still remain in the Yankee Nation. His Kenyan half-brother will have to remain pining-away in his hut situated in their family's homeland.

Given the current social ethos of the Yankee Nation, there are probably very few who even care where Barry was born. They seem to be uniformly surprised that anyone would even care about the subject. Such a state of affairs serves to indicate just how far the Yankee Nation electorate has degenerated into being a vastly different herd than the original breed (when the Constitution actually meant something).

What does it take for the Yankee's Supreme Court to hear a case? It's called the "Rule of Four". If four of the Justices agree that a writ of certiorari should be granted, the the writ of certiorari will be granted the petitioner and the case will be placed on the docket. Maybe there will be four Justices who would want to grant the writ ... but will they? Remeber what I wrote about holding your breath.

One may always hope for a pleasant surprise.

Weaponology - Present Tense

In years past, my off-duty weapon of choice was a 1911 Combat Commander. Its size, weight and caliber (.45 ACP) were perfect for my perceived needs. These days ... not so much. Some years ago, I sold the Commander and bought an Officers' Model; somewhat smaller but still a 1911. It was then that I finally realized that whatever 1911 I was carrying on a daily basis as a civilian felt like I was toting a boat anchor around between my belt and my shirt.

Kahr P45

Please, don't lecture me on the wisdom of having a "good gun belt". I had (and still have) several of them. The weight of the all steel 1911 was still there. It was then that I wised-up, defected from the John M. Browning god and bought a Kahr P45.

At 18.7 ounces, the Kahr has worked well for me. With a 6+1 loading capacity of .45 ACP, I do not believe myself to be "outgunned" by possible threats walking the mean streets of urban Texas environments.

Everything about the P45 denotes that it is truly a weapon for the armed professional. The trigger has a smooth surface and there are no external safties. Aggressive chekering is provided on the frontstrap and the backstrap. The rifling is polygonal and the Khar is more accurate that I am capable of being.

The rifling, however, is the problem. Those of us who are "into" the shooting sports tend to shoot a lot ...and then shoot some more. In order to do this, finances dictate that most of us load our own ammunition. Loading ammunition containing the correct projectile to be fired through polygonal rifling (full metal jackets) can border on being fairly expensive. It is much cheaper to reload with lead projectiles. The reason that it's not too wise to shoot lead through polyginal rifling is that even hard-cast lead bullets tend to foul the barrel quickly and cleaning it out requires a long scrubbing session.

My solution? I still shoot only FMJ's through the P45, but I went out and bought a Kahr CW45 with which to practice. The CW45 is essentially the same as the P45 except that the CW has conventional rifling and is, therefore, "lead friendly".

My eyes are older than when I used to happily lug 1911's hither and yon and my groups have "widened-out" a bit. The Wife Unit suggested that I include a current "group photo". Oh, to have younger eyes and tighter groups!

Sotelo's DHS Makes An End-Run

Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the Yankee Nation (ICE) has opened a 24/7 telephone line. The purpose of which is for apprehended persons who "believe they may be" citizens of the Yankee Nation to call and receive counseling from an on-duty ICE Agent.

How is it that someone does not know of what country he is a citizen? By establishing such a service, the Yankee Nation's Executive administration is doing a naked end-run around existing law. As with much of what comes out of the mouth of Barry The Pretender, this new service is all for show. Any advice that the Tonk may hear over the telephone would be neither admissible nor germane to proceedings in an Immigration court.

Also, it would be interesting to know what instructions have been given to those worthies who are manning the phones. Are they giving legal advice, or are they simply on duty to mollify the ruffled feathers of Tonks who are too stupid to know their nationality?

Certainly, this new development mandated for ICE personnel is nothing new. During the administration of Carter The Incompetent, INS Commissioner Leonel Castillo placed faux Tonks along the border to document supposed brutality on the part of law enforcement people.

Even though it is nothing new, it is still a step farther toward a totally demoralized cadre of Border patrol Agents.

Barry and Christmas

Barry The Pretender, ever the vacationer, has taken a new low in military relations. Sunday, 12/25/11, the Yankee Nation's Chief Executive appeared at the Base Chapel as MCAS, Kaneohe Bay to celebrate Christmas under the watchful eye of the Navy Chaplain on duty and as many cameras as possible.

We are told that, for twenty years, Barry was a frequent attender for the "worship" services conducted by the Rev. Mr. Jeremiah Wright in Chicago. As the Yankee President, he seems to have developed into a "Christmas and Easter" attender at Christian worship. One wonders what was going through the minds of the Marines and sailors who were also present as they witnessed the cheap and tawdry camera-mugging behavior of their Commander-In-Chief.

One may also wonder that, if Barry really is a Christian (as he proclaims), why was he not in attendance at worship services last Sunday at St. John's in the Yankee Capitol city? After all, St. John's is just right across the street from the Yankee's Executive Mansion.

The Empire

The Yankee Nation is an empire.

An empire is a political unit composed of a number of territories that are ruled by a single supreme authority. Tempting as it may be, placing a date/time stamp on the beginning is not possible.Some may desire to take the "empire date' back to the Jacksonian period. Others may choose the infamous tenure of the delusional Lincoln. Still others may want to date the beginnings during the time of Theodore Roosevelt. In the end, it's impossible. The Yankee Nation didn't start out as an empire; it slowly morphed into being one.

Gradually, the several States became less and less important and decreased in their measure of sovereignty as their respective citizens allowed the gigantic maw of Leviathan to gobble-up most shreds of self-government.

More recently, when Texas drew a new map of Yankee Nation Congressional districts, the Yankee Nation legal thugs jumped on her with both boots (with hobnails affixed). The Yankee Nation Supreme Court has frozen Texas' Yankee Nation elections and Eric Holder (the unindicted criminal of "fast and furious" fame) has flown to Texas to utter a ~~rant~~ speech on the subject. The fact that our Department of Public Safety has allowed him entry into the State is humiliating for all Texans.

The first of the last gasps of the 10th Amendment is just as difficult to date as is the Yankee Nation's transition from being the United States to the Yankee Nation Empire. Was it the 18th Amendment. How about 1867's Ex Parte McCardle? Was it the 14th Amendment? The debate can go on for a long time with good and scholarly support for all contentions.

What is certain is that The Yankee Nation is a very different entity than was envisioned by the Founders and Framers. The Yankee nation is no longer simply a Union of sovereign States. It is now an empire composed of territories/states (which have the names of States). Each of them and many of their composite citizens owe and pledge total fealty to the powerful overlord that is known as the Federal Government. Such a state of affairs is no longer a Union; it is an Empire.

Big Government Republicans

Just out of the photo (to the viewer's left), is another Big Government Republican: The Aggie. It is a continuing source of wonderment to my that these three are as popular as they seem to be among Yankee Nation Republicans.

The Aggie gained his ascendancy to the governor's office solely due to Bush 43's decision to seek to inflict his own big government ideas upon an unsuspecting electorate. He has, recently, dropped in the polls but has not yet bowed-out of the contest.

Gingrich has comported himself as what he is: an educated political prostitute. (You may read more on the whore on Old Rebel's blog.) Romney, ever the patrician, seems to have maintained an aloof attitude and is strangely reminiscent of Bush 41 (who was described by a former Texas Governor as having been "born with a silver foot in this mouth").

Each of them: The Aggie, Gingrich and Romney are held to be one kind of "conservative" or another. What, though, does a "conservative" do? The conservative conserves or maintains what has been handed to him.

Should any one of these Big Government clowns become the Yankee Nation President, there is little doubt that he would mostly conserve that which Barry Soetoro will have handed-over to him.

Barry's Sinking Ship

Posted on the VOA website is the story that in a television broadcast broadcast (today), Barry Soetoro

"said the structural problems in the economy have been building for two decades and that repairing them would take more than one term in office and "probably take more than one president"

Barry The Pretender is half-right on this one. It will take a long time for the Yankee Nation to repair the damage done to their economy for which Soetoro has consistently blamed his predecessors. The damage done to the economy by Slick and by Bush 43 is undeniable, but Barry's fiscal carnage has made both of them look like Greek gods of statesmanship in comparison.

Barry continues to blame the newly-recalcitrant members of the Yankee Nation Congress who are valiantly attempting to prevent him from wreaking even more Progressive havoc upon the hapless and mostly willfully ignorant citizenry.

In his speech, Soetoro likened himself to a ship's captain whose vessel is going through a violent storm. If that is true (which it is), the storm is one of his own creation. November of 2012 seems a very long time to wait for a mutiny.

Yankee Nation Exceptionalism

It appears as if Barry Soetoro has been shamed into stating a belief in something his actions and previous statement indicate that he doesn't really believe. The belief? That the Yankee Nation is endowed with what Republicans refer to as "American Exceptionalism".

"We don't just think about what's good for us, but we're also thinking about what's good for the world. That's what makes us special. That's what makes us exceptional".

I'll bet that that's not exactly the definition of
"exceptionalism" you learned when you took your history course in school. That's allright. Barry can alter any definition to fit his own warped sense of purpose.

It's bad enough that most of the Republican candidates for the Yankee Nation President's office believe in the standard definition of "American Exceptionalism": that it is the Yankee Nation's duty to export their corrupted notions of what the Founders envisioned and put into place. Now, we see the Yankee Chief Executive declaring the same thing. What further proof is needed for one to become convinced that there is no real difference between Barry and the majority of his Republican antagonists?

Bring It On Home ...

Since the 1970's, the Yankee Nation has seen a monumental societal change. Many Black families are migrating to the South. This movement of people is in direct opposition to decades of traffic going the other way.

The bad news for the Yankees is that the majority of Blacks fleeing the harsh environment of their own country are college-educated (50.5%). Those with less education tend to stay on the Yankee Plantation. The chief reason for this dynamic is that the South offers much more employment opportunities for the educated than it does for the uneducated. Does Barry Soetro know that there is a "brain drain" going on in his country?

Many Blacks who migrated North in the first half of the 20th Century chose their destinations according to where they had access via local railroads and where other family members and friends had migrated before them. Dwayne Walls, in Chickenbone Special, recounted an old quote about the Black residents of a rural community in North Carolina" "These people know only three palces to go: Heaven, Hell, and Baltimore."

Some of the migrants returning South follow the same paths their ancestors had carved out when they moved North. But not all Blacks are returning home. Most were actually born in the North and, consequently are heading for rapidly growing metropolitan centers.

The Black migration has resulted (for us in the South) in an increase in direct proportion to the overall Black population in the Yankee Nation. Our problem is not the Blacks moving Southward; it's the non-Black population moving here.

The non-Black migration (read "White") is the largest change agent for Southern culture. Those Yankees are bringing with them their strange tastes in food, their off-the-wall ideas about social paradigms, their strange political ideations, their insufferable accents and their offensive tastes in music. It would be much better if Barry were to encourage them to stay in the North and to encourage all the Copperheads to come here in their place.

Georgia In The Vanguard

U. S. Crane in Waco, Georgia has declared that their new company policy is that there will be now new hiring taking place until Barry The Pretender is sent away from the Yankee nation's capitol city.

The article (clickable above) includes an editorialized rant concerning Bill Looman, the company's president. They believe that Looman is a certified member of the lunatic fringe. For all I can tell, the man is a patriot of the highest order.

Soetoro's economic policies have place small businesses in an impossible position when it comes to even the most rudimentary functions of both maintaining production and expanding their market base. The comments at the end of the referenced article tell the woeful tale of those who have imbibed Barry's Kool-Aid.

Yankee Nation Congressmen - especially Henry Cuellar (D), Laredo, are beginning to ~~beg~~ ask the Yankee Nation governmental functionaries to deploy some returning military non-human assets to the Mexican border.

These people never seem to learn that technology is not the solution to the problem. The solution is as follows:

DHS must remove administrative sanctions which prevent Border Patrol Agents from exercising their statutory authority.
Yankee Nation Congress must re-institute the Bracero Program of the 1950's.
CPB re-institute Line Operations exactly as they were before Jimmy Carter.
OTM's and Mexican nationals to be repatriated to the interiors of their respective nations.

Of course, the absolute best solution would be a new Southern Confederation. With that, whatever DHS, CPB or the Yankee Nation Congress thought or enacted wouldn't matter at all.

Been There. Done That

Actor and Terry had worked a long, long time in the desert that night. Because of Jimmy Carter's gas rationing for the Border Patrol, no Agents had been assigned to work day shift on the desert area East of the Port of Entry at San Luis, Arizona. It is a vast region which included a few asparagus farms, citrus groves and the MCAS Yuma bombing range.

When they finally got to their AO on the 4P-12A shift in the desert, it was 1730 and the last recorded sign cutting run had been at 0800 that morning. Terry picked up a drag at Avenue 5E and Actor picked one up by the airstrip near the Port and, to save time, they started dragging toward each other.

When you're working a drag there's not much to do. If you do it right, you're not driving move than 5 miles per hour so time passes slowly. Since Terry was dragging toward the sun, the lines and shadows of the sign he was dragging-over appeared more prominent than if he had the sun at his back. He crossed-over numerous pieces of sign that was obviously hours old. Each time he did, he called the characteristics of the sign in to the station to be labeled as "got-aways". Actor did the same.

Along about 1E, a different sort of sign caught Terry's eye. It was sign of Tonks carrying burdens. Terry un-hooked his drag and followed the sign a short ways into the desert. Then he called Actor.

"Actor", Terry said, "I've got a group of ten headed for the groves. It looks as if they're mules."

Actor knew the drill. He had to finish the entire drag by himself (somebody had to do it) while Terry started following the sign. Actor speeded-up his drag to ten miles per hour so as to get in on the big chase as soon as possible.

By the time Actor had completed the drag, Terry has already found the sign in the citrus groves and was on foot (by then, it was somewhere around 2130). Actor cut for sign perpendicular to Terry's route of travel in the groves and found it on the other side: back in open desert and heading for still more groves.

This time, it was Actor who was on foot; going through grove after grove of lemon trees - on the sign. Terry cut perpendicular to Actor's route of travel and found the sign leaving those groves and headed for a hard surface road. Actor raced back to his vehicle (a dodge Ramcharger) and joined Terry in following the sign.

In the end, it was Actor who found the mules. They were hunkered down in a drainage ditch by the hard surface road. In the ditch with them were bales of kilos of marijuana with ropes attached to them to make them into huge backpacks. Near the road was a overturned Coca Cola can (the marker for the driver of the load car so he'd know where to stop and take on the load).

Processing Tonks is easy enough but processing a drug load is a huge headache. The Agents have to take sworn statements from everybody - translating them from Spanish into English and then back again. After that, the apprehending Agents have to "mark" all of the kilos. Actor and Terry marked each one with their initials and the date of apprehension. After all that was done, they had to transport the drugs to the DEA (in those days, that's the way it was done). Actor and Terry photographed the load, put it into their vehicles and drove it to the DEA's office in San Luis.

The story didn't end there; at least not for that particular load of drugs.

About a month later, Actor was working the railroad yards and Terry was working the area around Morelos Dam. The Patrol Agent In Charge called both of them on the radio to report to the station. When they arrived, what they saw made them angry; angry enough to loose any trust they had ever had in the DEA.

There, on the Station floor, were numerous kilos of marijuana. Each had Actor's and Terry's initials on them along with the original date of apprehension. A couple of Agents working the 12A-8A shift had apprehended that load. No one said anything. They just stood there and fumed.

Big Mac Attack

Freddie Mac has just asked the Yankee Nation functionaries for a further "loan" of $6 billion. This money is in addition to all the money given to The Mac previously and to the millions of Yankee dollars that have recently been paid in bonuses to F.M.'s top executives.

The story in Habledash relates the sordid details of Barry The Pretender's out-of-control Yankee Nation administration being more than ready to distribute your money into a black hole without so much as asking your permission to do so.

A year from now, you can pretend that you're getting rid of big government Democrats by voting for, what is right now, any one of the numerous gaggle big government Republicans who want to serve the Federals. In the end, there can be only one who'll be nominated; it probably won't be the one who needs to be.

Eric Holder Has No Shame

In testimony today before the Yankee Nation Senate,
John Cornyn (R), Texas asked Soetoro's Attorney General if he had apologized to Agent Brian Terry's family.

Holder, ever the lawyer, replied to the question that he wished would have been asked instead of the one actually asked. Not only has the Yankee Nation Attorney General not apologized to anyone (Terry's family, the Border Patrol, Yankee Nation citizens) but it appears as if the man is willing to take no responsibility for BATFE's misadventures that were conducted during his watch.

Border Patrol "Trespassing" In Yankee Nation Parks?

The Yankee Nation Department of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior have barred the Border Patrol from normal operations in "protected" areas.

They are afraid of Border Patrol vehicles tearing-up the landscape as Agents chase Tonks and smugglers of all types. Maybe the real reason is that Barry The Pretender has decided that he needs many more new Democrats for 2012.

NBC in the Yankee Nation Capitol has carried the story of how some folks in Mosby's Confederacy have taken umbrage to a recent depiction of Barry The Pretender as a zombie.

Loudoun County Democrat Party members have appealed to none other than Governor Robert F. McDonald who has pronounced the artist's conception of Barry as being "shameful and offensive".

In philosophical circles, the discussion of zombies is real and on-going. They (those caught in zombiehood) illuminate problems about consciousness and its relationship to the physical world. Zombies, in fact, raise epistemological difficulties: their existence reinstates the problem of "other minds".

Barry's tenure as the Yankee Nation's Chief Executive has been a continuous illustration of the dynamic of "other-mindedness" within political leadership. The Mind of Barry seems incapable of accepting the simple facts of his own rejection by those he supposes that he leads: us. When everything within his ambient culture points to the fact that one thing is true, Barry persists is conducting himself as if it weren't. Economics and Constitutional Law are two areas in which he has not only exhibited zombie-like behavior but has proven that he is a victim of the condition as well.

My own family's roots are in the Loudoun County area and I stand in awe that any of those good citizens there would take offense at the truth. After all, Barry as a zombie isn't all that much different from Richard Nixon crawling our of a sewer:

All Saints

Today, 1 November is the feast of All Saints. Tomorrow, is the feast of All Souls.

I have never mentioned religion on this blog before but, as a faithful Anglican, I'm making note of it here.

the Saints are not divine, omnipresent or omniscient. However, because of a Christians' common communion with them (with and through Jesus Christ), we remember what they bore while they still on their earthly pilgrimage. We also celebrate the fact that they, right now, are enjoying eternal life with The Lamb of God.

May all people everywhere turn to Him and find
"the crown of life that fadeth not away".

The Cost of Illegal Aliens

Mexico's largest revenue stream is the money sent home by illegal aliens working in the Yankee Nation. In actual terms, the yearly amount is around $8 billion. What they earn and spend here is somewhere around $52 billion. Naturally, they tend not to file and pay income taxes. Totaled-up, the wage cost to unemployed Yankee Nation citizens is $60 billion that those Yankee Nation citizens could have made if the Mexicans weren't making it.

El Presidente, Felipe Calderon, and his predecessors in that office have preferred to let things stay the way they have been for the last fifty years. Rather than develop their sorry third world nation into a productive member among the community of nations, they have been content to become the primary leach among the three countries that comprise what we know as "North America". Jack Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Beorge W. Bush and Barry Soetoro have, each, seemed to agree with their economic philosophy.

As it now stands, the Yankee Nation can no longer sustain the loss of the financial blood that has been sucked by these fiscal vampires. The problem here is: no one in charge seems to want to do anything about it. The ears of the Yankee Nation "leadership" have long been deadened to the cries of the public for redress of this most foul condition. The few sovereign States that have enacted their own legislation to solve the problem within their own borders have been met with threats of prosecution by the Federals for their courage to draw a line in the sand. More than that, the Federals of the Yankee Nation (including Barry The Pretender) have suggested that such attempts are racist, bigoted and thoroughly un-befitting of such a melting pot of diversity as the Yankee Nation believes itself to be.

It's almost as if the Federals of the Yankee Nation would be greatly relieved if we would simply go away. The time is rapidly approaching when we will have to do just that.

The Aggie (James "Rick" Perry) has made his decision: he will not support the adoption of a Sons of Confederate Veterans license plate in Texas.

In an earlier blog post, I noted that the prospect looked dim. The Motor Vehicle Board was locked in a 4-4 tie. Now, apparently, there has been another appointee (by the Governor) to the Board and the issue may not even come up for another vote.

Jerry Patterson, the Texas Land Commissioner, is running for Lieutenant Governor (the office of which, in Texas, wields more power than that of the Governor), supports the SCV plate and has hinted that the issue may not be as dead as The Aggie would like it to be. Patterson suggested that the whole affair may end-up in court as a First Amendment issue.

NAACP, of course, has collected 22,000 signatures against what they have named the "hate plate". The SPLC will probably show up here sooner or later. Meanwhile, the Texas Division of the SCV has been lending its support of the Buffalo Soldiers' sons to have their own plate.

The Aggie is on the losing end of this affair. His opinion is, obviously, for sale.

Yankee Nation Senator Jeff Sessions (R), Alabama is fit to be tied. It appears as if,by the end of this year (2011), the Yankee Nation will have spent around $80 billion Yankee Dollars on the food stamp program.

As reported in the Daily Caller -

The Alabama senator introduced an amendment to three spending bills on the Senate floor last week to end the categorical eligibility requirement. It was voted down, 41 to 58.
Seven Republicans voted against his proposal, including Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran, Indiana Sen. Dan Coats, Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown, Indiana Sen. Richard Lugar, Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, the amendment would have saved the government $10 billion over the next ten years without changing the SNAP program’s current eligibility requirements.

Just to place some perspective on how much $80 billion dollars is (at least in Yankee Nation terms) it costs

$24 billion and change to operate the entire Yankee Nation Justice Department - including the Bureau of Prisons and the FBI.
Around $30 billion a year to operate the Federal's Highway Administration.
$4 billion Yankee Nation dollars to fund the Border Patrol.
$10.6 billion a year to run their Internal Revenue Service

Are we to believe that there are that many poor people inhabiting the Yankee Nation? They must be more numerous that housefiles in Mexico. Think of all the money the Yankee Nation could save if even half of the food stamp recipients were discovered to be frauds and summarily removed from the system.

Tracking Humans

Some time ago, I told you about drag roads and drags. For the Old Patrol, the drag road was where sign was usually "cut". Signcutting, however, is just the first installment of tracking. Once you find the sign, the next job is to tell how fresh it is.

The photo to the left shows foot sign on top of a "running W" tire tread sign and parallel to a "straight line" tire sign. If we know that the "running W" was on the drag road no more than two hours ago, then the foot sign can be no more than two hours old.

People who don't want their sign to be cut across a drag road will often attempt to brush-out their foot sign. At the bottom part of the photo to the right, you can see a crude brush-out. The remedy here, of course is to see what known tire sign is covered by the brush-out (to determine the sign's age) and simply follow the brush-out until it turns into foot sign you can identify.

It is helpful for a tracker to have a general familiarity with the area. This is especially helpful when tracking Tonks: if they're headed in one particular direction, you can accurately guess where they're headed. For example, a popular truck stop on the Interstate Highway. Sometimes, however, the tracker may not have knowledge of the area. That's when it's always best just to stick with the sign.

Tracking humans is not always as easy as it appears on the drag road. Often, the tracker may not have seen actual foot sign for several hundred yards. What then?

To the left, you can see "rock sign". The rock to the left is in its natural position whereas the rocks to the right have been depressed into the soil. As long as the depressed rocks are along the sign's route of travel, it's a safe bet that the sign you've been following is the same sign that made the depression. You simply keep on the same azimuth and be on the watch for confirming footprints.

Foot sign isn't the only sort of "sign" that a tracker follows. Sounds, odors, light, shadows and animal movement are all sign for the experienced tracker of humans.

One night, Actor was tracking a group of six Tonks through a lemon grove when his flashlight batteries gave out. A gentle breeze was blowing from the 3 o'clock position to the last known route of travel and it was pitch black inside the grove. Actor was impressed with the almost overpowering scent of lemon blossoms as he kept on the Tonks' last known line of travel. Then, ever so slightly, Actor smelled the unmistakable odor of unrefrigerated hot dogs from his 3 o'clock. The Tonks were no more than 25 feet away and were all hunkered-down under a lemon tree. After he had made the apprehension, the Tonks told Actor that they had planned to stay under that tree until morning when the Patron would show up in the grove and (hopefully) hire them to pick lemons.

There are probably a few Agents in the New Patrol who have learned the art of tracking humans, but in the Old Patrol all of us had to learn it.

The showman P.T. Barnum is said to have advised us that, "There's a sucker born every minute". W. C. Fields, the actor, refined the message with the mandate, "Never give a sucker an even break". Both men offered sage advice for anyone who would seek to profit from the 'easy marks' among us.

Barry The Pretender is one of the current crop of showmen who have taken these Yankees' advice to heart. There is, however, another. This one happens to prey upon the frustrations of Yankee Nation citizens who long for an elusive something out of the past. This something is a state of being which the suckers can't quantify, but they feel in their guts that it, somehow, used to be present in the ethos of the New World.

Just as Barry Soetoro (The Pretender) has pandered to the secret desires of the Left, there is another dude who has done so with the Right. Barry The Pretender has done it by peddling the sorry philosophy of one Saul Alinsky. Barry's antithetical twin, Glenn Beck, has done it with the Right.

Beck is the Yankee Nation apologist that caters to the high school dropout. A thorough jingoist, Beck has his believers believing that he has done massive amounts of "research" into the history of the Yankee Nation. He has foisted his Classics Illustrated version of Yankee Nation history on those of his listeners who probably lack the opportunity (or the knowledge) of how to check the facts that he presents as gospel. A year ago in August, he held a massive rally at the feet of the statue of A. Lincoln in the Yankee's capitol city. The implication was that, not only did Father Abraham bless the goings-on, but that he would approve of them as well.

Would have Lincoln approved? Most assuredly, yes.

Beck offers a phony shred of hope to those who believe that all hope has been eclipsed by Barry and by many who have gone before him. His unique ability to convince the masses that it will all turn-out well in the end is currently rivaled only by Barry's ability to convince his followers of the same. The fact that Beck frequently extols the supposed virtues of someone such as Lincoln (who removed Habeas Corpus rights for his enemies) is all that any thoughtful person needs to know about him.

Now, Beck claims to have moved to Texas. It's a great attempt at trying to authenticate himself and he might blend-in with all the other Yankee ass clowns in Dallas and Houston, but we have all the carpetbaggers we can handle right now. We don't need anymore.

Barry The Pretender has managed a new first. He is the first Yankee Nation Chief Executive to publicly admit that Federal troops explicitly targeted a natural-born YN citizen. So much for the Constitution.

Oh, it must have slipped my mind! Barry Soetoro and his friends believe many strange things concerning the Constitution. Among those things is that it is a "living document". "Living document" are code words which mean that , as the Constitution ages, it changes and morphs to accommodate new social beliefs.

One may wonder just how this "living document" has changed so much that it has completely abrogated the Bill of Rights for anyone deemed nasty enough by Barry and his gaggle clowns to be denied those rights.

Barry is not the first Yankee Nation authority figure to crow about having hunted-down enemies of their state and killing them. He is the first, however, to acknowledge having done so against a citizen of that Nation.

Rather that deny that he was complicit in the crime, he seems to have taken some perverse joy in the affair. After all, Al Awaki was instrumental in planning attacks against the YN. To Soetoro's mind, that must mean that the Constitution does not apply to him. Since when?

Even the despot A. Lincoln would never have gone that far. Lincoln's authorization to murder Jefferson Davis was a plan to murder a leader of a nation foreign to the Yankee Nation (of which Davis was not a citizen). Barry The Pretender has truly taken a step farther than any of his predecessors in that office.

In order to obscure truthful answers from the mounting chorus of questions people have over Yankee Nation Obama Care, Barry's people have had to issue new disclosure guidelines to his trusted employees in the Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Barry's Snake Oil

The depths of the damage being done by Barry The Pretender and his misinformed notion of the commonweal is finally getting off the ground.

In 2011, there has been a 9% increase in the premiums for families' health care insurance. In 2010, those premiums rose only 3%. In real dollars, a family premium was a hefty $13,770 in 2010. 2011's price gouge is a whopping $15,073.

What has happened is that the insurers have increased their premium rates in anticipation of the profound negative influence Barry's Yankee Nation Health Care will affect them. When that system becomes fully operational, any new premium increase greater than 10% will have to be "justified" to the Yankee Overseers. That's why the health care insurers are jacking things up now.

While the Yankee Nation economy is tanking and the health care industry is adjusting in panic, Barry The Pretender is stumping across the Yankee Nation trying to convince the citizenry that his snake oil tastes really great. Maybe he'll find a few gaggles of fools here and there who'll believe him.

Why some bold Yankee Nation Congressman has not brought charges against Barry for his high crime of abject incompetence is something I'm hard-pressed to understand. His trial in the Senate would probably result in acquittal anyway.

Some of my readers have asked me why I insist on referring to the "Yankee Nation" instead of the United States. It is a fair question.

The short answer, as many already know, is that the federal association of States - as we now exist - are no longer united in any meaningful sense. There are far more instances of separation of purpose, values and political philosophy among us than existed under the Constitution when it was written. There are even more differences between our present condition than the unity that existed under the Articles of Confederation.

But there is more.

From the outset, the States found differences among themselves. Current Revisionist historians would like us to believe that the chief difference between the North and the Southern States was the "Peculiar Institution". Certainly, there were Northern people who owned slaves as did Southrons. The chief differences, however, were ones of pride versus humility.

Locked as they were into a seemingly self-perpetuating cycle of supposed intellectual superiority, people of the North (especially the "scholarly class") supposed that very little enlightenment existed outside of New England. The system of higher education of the North, constructed by Puritans and Congregationalists, tended to rely upon the proofs of circular logic to legitimize their high opinions of their thoughts. Later, this dynamic was also morphed into an East/West dichotomy. (When your blogger graduated from a well-known school in Virginia and was headed to Arizona, the faculty was horrified. "Agent Nowhere Man", they said, "you know, of course, that the synapses don't fire as well West of the Mississippi ... don't you?")

The pride among the Yankees is as brutal as it is demeaning to their supposed inferiors. Because we enjoy life at a different pace, because we speak English more closely accented as it is in England, because our choices in food tend to be more basic and because our existence is more aligned with the soil than it is with political thought we are judged by Yankees to be less-than-equal to them.

When the Brig. Gen. Stand Waite, CSA - a Cheokee - heard of General lee's surrender on 9 April 1865, he was truly amazed. Both Lee and Waite (worlds apart in social experience) were both men of the soil. Finally, Gen. Waite surrendered at Doaksville, Indian Territory two months later. Lee moved on from Richmond to the presidency of Washington College; Waite moved into financial disintegration. Both men, however, remained with the soil. It was what they knew and it was who they were.

In the same month that Gen. Waite surrendered, Gen. Joseph Shelby, Texas Gov. Pendelton Murrah and others went to Mexico in search of new soil. They never found it. My own ancestors returned to the Tidewater area of Virginia and into the hands of Carpetbaggers - probably wishing that they could have gone to Mexico to make a go of the Colonia Carlota.

"And for a Carpetbagger, I do not give a damn.
So it's forward to the frontier, soon as I can go.
I'll fix me up a weapon and start for Mexico."

The Carpetbagger was the second instance of Yankee Nation active aggression against the South. The first (the War to Prevent Southern Independence) was characterized by active force of arms against us. The Carpetbag Aggression was simply backed by the threat of force of arms. Officially, Yankee Nation Carpetbagging ended in 1877; unofficially, it has been going on ever since then.

They have moved in among us. We have sent our children to be educated in their universities. Worst of all, we have hired many of them to teach in our universities to teach our future leaders and Statesmen. Because this dynamic has been going on for more than three-quarters of a century, many Southrons have fallen prey to belief in large portions of the Yankee myth. Insidiously, elements of that myth have crept into the belief system of many of our Southern "leaders". The current Governor of North Carolina comes to mind. The Yankee myth was bad enough when it simply stayed in the North. Now, however, they're telling it to us on our own soil.

The myth that they tell themselves about us is that we are backwards, less educated and more "religious" than they are. That, they believe, cements our status as being less-than-equal to them in all respects. It is their belief and that belief is their religion. The average Yankee worships his sad belief just as surely as we worship the Holy Trinity and they have spent decade after decade in their attempt to convince us of its veracity.

My contemporary, Old Rebel, has recently posted a link to Valerie Protopapas' open letter to a famous Yankee Nation protagonist, Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly is a True Believer in all myths of the Yankee Nation. He is an ardent proponent of The Yankee Nation sending Yankee Nation troops on foreign military escapades. In the company with other Yankee Nation apologists (Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, etc.), O'Reilly (and the others who have never served one day in the military) have no problem exposing young people to danger for all the wrong reasons.

O'Reilly, Limbaugh, et al, collectively and individually suffer from the deep delusion that Yankee Nation myths are solidly true. Since they are such unquestioning True Believers, then they also believe all portions of the myth such as: Southrons are unalterably backwards and are in need of close supervision by our ethical and intellectual betters. We cling, they believe, to a contorted understanding of the Constitution and must be protected from the potential fruits of our error.

We have grown weary of their protection and their arrogance; we yearn for freedom.

FBI's Cover-Up. Barry's Response? > Silence

Our friends at Habledash have reported something new in Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's death last December.

As some of my readers may be aware, primary investigative jurisdiction for crimes against the persons of all Yankee Nation law enforcement officers lies with those lovable clowns at the FBI. With their public faces painted in a very serious expression, Attorney General Holder's minions did, indeed investigate the murder scene.

What they found (for public consumption) was that Agent Terry was killed by weaponry purchased through BATFE's "Fast and Furious" debacle. Those were "straw man purchases" made by shills at gun shops on our side of The Line with the express intention of delivering them to drogistas in the Land of Manana.

Now, it has been discovered by CBS News (will wonders never cease!) that a third "Fast and Furious" weapon was also involved. Its existence, however, was covered-up by Holder's boys and girls of the FBI.

One may only guess as why the cover-up had been made. Maybe the reasons will be brought to light someday and maybe they won't be. One thing is certain though: the responsibility for implementation of and cover-up of Agent Terry's death is now a multi-departmental affair within Barry The Pretender's Yankee Nation administration.

Will this affair bring them to their long-deserved justice? We wait .......

Barry The Pretender - In Texas?

He's a very good pretender. Pretender to the Yankee Throne, pretender to be the man-of-his-house, etc. He's a good pretender. Soon, he'll be pretending in Dallas.

Keep in mind that most large cities in Texas tend to be filled with those of a non-Constitutional bent. Houston (our largest city) has a mayor who is both a Democrat and a very public lebian. Dallas' mayor is equally liberal but without the overt sexual baggage. Barry should be able to find a few folks there who won't mind shelling out large piles of jack just to get the chance to assure him that they love him.

Barry's other mission in Dallas (Slow Joe was there today ... he was just "dragging the bucket" and not making any public speeches) will be to tout his American Jobs Act. Never mind that no Democrat has, yet, introduced it as proposed legislation. Barry will put on another hat and, momentarily, try to convince people that he's something that he's not. His act has worn very thin and even elements of the Black Congressional Caucus aren't buying it anymore.

Maybe, if we give him enough cookies, he'll just go away.

Barry: An Individual With A Disorder

Barry The Pretender, President of the Yankee Nation is a troubled man. Narcissistic Personality disorder isn't anything funny; it's probably something he has struggled with most of his life. Certainly, I'm not the first to suggest that he suffers from it. It's fairly obviously that he does.

Barry's search for love and attention, most likely, began with his abandonment by his father and by his mother who sloughed him off to her parents. Growing to maturity was something that never happened for Barry. He seems to be emotionally stuck at an age when most children learn and accept their identities and receive love and affection for maturing in it.

As adults, suffers, such as Barry, have an inflated sense of self-importance and an inflated preoccupation with themselves. It's always about them. Always. They have unreasonable expectations of favorable treatment and - especially for Barry - take advantage of other people in order to achieve their goals.

Who were the dupes? Who were the people whose advantage was supplanted by The Pretender? Generally, it was the 52% of the Electorate in the Yankee Nation who cast their votes for the clown. It was those who were either too deluded or too enamored with skin color to discern the difference between the empty promises of a charlatan and those of a genuine statesman. Specifically, the deluded were the vast number of Yankee Nation Blacks (96% - 97%) who voted to take four more years of voluntary servitude on the Democrat Plantation of the Yankee Nation.

Poor Barry. Afflicted as he is, he has surrounded himself with fawning sycophants and with fellow sufferers from the same disorder who aspire to garner any crumbs of love which are the leftovers after Barry sweeps them from his table. Each of them (and all of them as a group) are truly sad testimony to a nation whose grasp of its original social contract is failing. Barry's silly charade as a leader was revealed after the abject failure of his First Great Stimulus Plan. It collapsed altogether with his pathetic cry to raise the ceiling of the National Debt of the Yankee Nation. (My own Congressman, Pete Olson, should resign in shame because of his vote for Barry's plea).

The emperor, flummoxed as he is, stands defiantly naked and has recently asked crowds to: "If you love me, pass this this bill!" (his further attempt to enforce his will through cheap manipulation). He might as well have said: "If you love me, bake me a cookie". That, after all, is what he really meant.

Many across the South are aware that Texas is experiencing the worst drought in many years. Because of the drought, our potential for wildfires is very high. Numerous wildfires have been burning around the State for some time. Many of them are in Bastrop County (about 30 miles South of Austin).

The Aggie pulled-off his campaign activities for a few days and was supposed to go to Bastrop today. He never showed up. When contacted, one of his aides remarked: "He's in Austin".

Could it be that Carney didn't actually tell The Aggie that he had to be in Bastrop. It's as good of an excuse as any. Beaumont's country singer, George Jones, is known in the business as "No-Show Jones". Could The Aggie steal it from him?

The question, "is The Aggie a big government RINO?", is not really being asked within the Yankee Nation. I know more than a few Tea Party people who are all ready to start giving slobbery kisses to the new "savior of the Cause". "He shoots coyotes with his little .380ACP while jogging. doesn't he?' "He talks tough about The Border, doesn't he?" "He's from the South, isn't he?" It seems to me as if many "Conservatives" are treating The Aggie in the same manner as Progressives treated Barry The Pretender.

Not long ago, The Aggie attempted a monumental land grab that was named the Trans Texas Corridor. It was a scheme to take a lot of private land by imminent domain and turn it into a super highway that would run from Mexico up to the Oklahoma border. Texans fumed at the idea and The Aggie couldn't figure out the reason why. After all, he had just been pushing the idea that his handlers had told him to push.

Is The Aggie even a little more desirable than Barry The Pretender when it comes to being the Chief Executive of the Yankee Nation? Of course he is. But you need to know what he is. After all, The Aggie is only as Constitutionally-aligned as is his closest advisor.

Officially, Dave Carney operates Norway Hill Associates which is a political consulting firm that specializes in being first among equals. He is the chief individual (suggested in the post immediately below this one) on The Aggie's staff who knows how to run things other than tractors and combines.

Carney is a equal opportunity brain-behind-the-scenes operator. It seems as if back when it was Kerry vs. Bush 43, Carney worked to get Ralph Nader on the ballot in New Hampshire. He achieved his goal and Kerry's people were "squealing like pigs".

It is certain that much of what comes out of The Aggie's mouth has been planted there by this individual. The rest that comes out of The Aggie's mouth is just the simple, soulful goodness of our wonderful Texas Aggies.

The few readers of this blog have probably been wondering: "If Agent Nowhere Man is continually exposing the downside of The Aggie (J. "Rick" Perry), does that mean he'd vote for Barry The Pretender?"

No, it doesn't. Given the demonstrated results of Barry's tenure in the Yankee Nation's highest office, given Barry's ideological bent and given Barry's childish mean-spiritedness, I'd vote for an amoeba before I'd vote for Barry.

The Aggie is what he is - an Aggie (they've been the butt of Texans' jokes for over a century). The Agricultural and Mechanical University of Texas does produce the world's best horse doctors, the world's best farmers and the world's best handymen. If I wanted someone to build a house for me, I'd choose an Aggie over any of his competition. When it comes down to me, I'm neutral. I went to St. Mary's University in San Antonio (among the Roman Catholic colleges in Texas, there are numerous jokes about St. Mary's ... "it's the Harvard of Mexico", etc. etc.)

Aggie jokes were made possible by the snobbery of the graduates of the University of Texas at Austin (who have always fancied themselves as being intellectually superior to other mortals). The jokes are fun and most Aggies I know laugh just as hard at them as anyone else.

The Aggie (here, I intend Perry) is a good and decent man who knows how to surround himself with people who know how to run things other than tractors and combines. He's done a good job of doing that. True, he used to be a Democrat - but at least he was smart enough to change sides after he figured out who the real loonies are. I come from a long line of Southern Democrats. My Daddy was a Democrat. Why? Because Lincoln was a Republican.

Yes, I'd vote for The Aggie to be the next Chief Executive of the Yankee Nation. However - I'd rather vote for Texas' secession from the Yankee Nation.

Them Low Down Pipeline Blues

Barry The Pretender's stellar cast of synchophants has done it again. The first assault upon Southern economy was the illegal moratorium on exploration and drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi drilling industries have suffered greatly because of it.

Now, Barry's State Department has given the o.k. for a 1,711 mile pipeline that would carry oil drilled in Canada to refineries in the Houston area. The Keystone XL pipeline would open in 2013 (well after Barry is ejected from his position as Pretender to the Yankee Throne).

Canadians, no doubt, are elated over the prospect of having a new market for their oil. The effrontery was continued by the State Department by suggesting that this move will produce many new jobs (in Canada) and reduce Yankee Nation dependency upon Middle Eastern oil.

If creating Canadian jobs were really a high priority, Barry could just have well sent them enough foreign aid to build a couple of new Labatt's breweries. If reducing dependence upon Middle eastern oil were a real concern for him, Barry could just go ahead and lift the Moratorium.

All of last week, people protesting this rank insult to Texas and to the Gulf Coast South have been demonstrating in front of the White House. So far, 376 of them have been arrested.

All right. I get it. Barry doesn't like Texas and he doesn't understand Texans. But what he is doing is also going to affect two other southern States. Maybe Bobby Jindal and Haley Barbour are now on his "list" of the governors of States that he'd rather see economically destroyed.

How Kinky Can One Become?

Those are Kinky's own words. For those of you who don't know who he is, Kinky ran for Governor against Rick Perry in '06. He lost monumentally (4% of the vote). Before his political involvement, Kinky has been known in Texas as an author and the front man for the band: Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys.

The article (clickable above) has Kinky coming-out for The Aggie as the Republican nominee. We Texans know that the Kinkster is a Democrat - kind of after the fashion of Harry Truman. For him to endorse The Aggie has required the swallowing of quite a bit of crow.

Friedman's chief support in Texas came from the rural areas (everyone liked his "Five Mexican Generals" plan). It appears as if Barry The Pretender is so ... so other that even Democrats such as Kinky are bailing. The American South has quite a few like Friedman (I am presenting him because he's the one I know). Watch for more of the same from various Southrons who will be backing The Aggie to be the next President of The Yankee Nation. But remember: The Aggie is a Democrat in RINO clothing.

An article today in the Texas Tribune caught my attention. It seems as if the the clowns of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) have un-Constitutionally placed a new requirement upon Yankee Nation firearms licensees in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.

Any sale of two or more long arms greater than .22 rinfire caliber and with a detachable magazine (the article calls it a "clip") to one individual within a five day period must be reported to BATFE for their "analysis". A San Antonio dealer, 10-Ring Precision, has filed suit against the Yankee agency.

Please note that this dictate goes far beyond the normal Evil Black Rifle Fear. It includes anything that is larger than a .22 rimfire.

Ski Bum, Yankee Cop, The Scotsman, Mingo and Actor sat together in chairs lined-up against a windowed room in the Yuma Sector headquarters of the Border Patrol. They were pre-Academy trainees. A P.I. who was a training officer had placed them there several hours previously. When he did so, he forgot to mention that Trainees were lower than dirt; that no one of any account would even speak to them unless it was absolutely necessary.

Periodically, a grizzled officer with grey hair walked through the room not even appearing to glance at the Trainees. He passed through several times and then only secretaries peeked around the corner at them. No one asked them if they were thirsty Time dragged on.

The Trainees began to talk among themselves about where they came from. Yankee Cop had just come from a small police force in upstate New York. the Scotsman had just gotten out of the Army, Mingo out of the Navy and Actor out of the Marine Corps. Ski Bum was wearing Jesus sandals and shorts (it was August in Yuma); he had just come from the Ski Patrol in Squaw Valley.

Finally, the grizzled grey-headed officer returned. His eyes had the set of a drill instructor and his facial skin had the color and texture of a fifty year-old saddle that had been used daily and had never seen a can of saddle soap. He had round, circular pewter-colored eagles on his shoulders. Yankee Cop on the far end of the line was audibly hyper ventilating. The veteran officer stopped in front of Ski Bum and stared at him with complete disdain.

"Boy", the old P.I. began, didn't your Mamma ever buy any long britches? Where are you from?" (None of them knew that he already knew everything about each one of them)

"California", Ski Bum met his stare.

"It figures ... damn Hippie!" Then he sidestepped over to Actor.

"You must be Captain Actor. How do you like it, now that you're actually going to have to work for a living? Do you think the fact that you were an officer in the Marine Corps means anything to me?"

Actor met his stare as had Ski Bum. "That'd be a Mustang officer, Sir. You see, I was enlisted before ....."

The old P.I. cut him off, "I know what a Mustang is Captain Actor! You and these other slobs can just stand by to stand by". Then he left as unceremoniously as he had arrived.

Later that day, the Trainees discovered that the old P.I. was Jerry, the officer in charge of the Yuma Station.

Farther on that afternoon, the Training Officer came to collect the Trainees for a manual labor detail of building drags. He asked them if they had met Jerry. Ski Bum and Actor explained their short conversations to him and he became positively slack-jawed.

"He talked to you? He actually talked to you? He never talks to Trainees. He hardly even talks to me! Jerry was a Sergeant in the 5th Marines at the Chosin Resevoir. After Korea, he joined the Border Patrol and worked his way to to what he is now. He's one tough S.O.B. - and he talked to you. You are truly a lucky bunch of Trainees".

Later, much later, Jerry and Actor actually became friends. He did the same with The Scotsman

The Old Patrol Lives - - - Someplace

When Actor Entered On Duty with the Border Patrol, the badge worn by the officers didn't look like the one on the left. If you look closely at it, you'll see that, then, the Patrol was part of the Department of Labor. By the time Actor came along, the Patrol was part of the Department of Justice. Now, it is part of the nonsensical Department of Homeland Security.

The most striking aspect of the Old Patrol was the title carried by its officers: "Patrol Inspector". Actor was commissioned as a "Patrol Agent". Naturally, there is a legalese difference between an Inspector and an Agent but that difference was never known or realized by the men who rode the river or who cut sign along The Line. It was the same job with a different title.

Some of the men in Actor's class at the Academy were assigned to El Paso and some were assigned to San Diego. Others were assigned to Nogales, Tucson, Marfa and to Alpine. Actor, along with the six others who were assigned to Yuma were to learn that, for some in the Patrol, the job was literally the same as it had always been. The officers in Yuma had been "Agents" for at least ten years by the time Actor arrived there ... but no one referred to himself as such. Everyone in Yuma in the mid 1970's was still a "P.I.".

At first, it didn't make much sense to Actor as to why such was the case. Finally, at last, he realized the truth. The P.I.'s in Yuma called themselves by the old title out of sheer reverence for those who had gone before. It was their connection to the old-timers as well as connecting the old-timers to themselves. Much as the Sons of Confederate Veterans carry The Charge of their ancestors, the P.I.'s who initiated Actor, the Ski Bum, Yankee Cop and others into their midst ensured that none of our predecessors or their ways of doing the job would be forgotten.

One of Actor's post-Academy instructors was Mundo. Mundo was born in Nogales and had observed the ways of the Old Patrol long before he became a part of it.

One night, Mundo and Actor were in a government-issued Ramcharger following sign along the Yuma Main Canal bank. The sign was headed toward the railroad yards and its owners were certain to jump the Southern Pacific train that was to head Westbound to Los Angeles in a short time. Mundo told Actor to move faster. Actor did.

In a short time, six Tonks appeared in the headlights; casually ambling toward the Box Factory (which was very close to the yards). Mundo told Actor to get out and make the apprehension. Again, Actor did as he was told while Mundo followed close behind.

All the Tonks except one stopped for Actor and sat down in front of the Ramcharger's headlights. The other trotted briskly toward Mundo. The last words Actor heard the Tonk say to Mundo was: "Pinche Cabron ...voy a ......" He never finished his sentence. The flat of Mundo's hand clapped the Tonk's left ear with enough force to knock him to the ground. The sound it made was kind of like a fair-sized limb cracking.

Mundo looked at the then-sniveling Tonk and said: "Si tu vas a partarse como animal, voy a tratarte como animal." (He used the familiar form in Spanish - the kind used when speaking to children or to animals).

Mundo then looked at Actor: "They don't teach you this at the Academy, Actor. This is the way the lawmen in Mexico deal with aggression; if we don't do it, the Tonks loose respect for us and become emboldened. They'll act-out even worse during their next encounter with us. Look at it as saving a life - one of ours."

Actor learned that night; probably just as much as the Tonk did. Years later, when Actor retired due to gunshot wounds, Mundo handed him a plaque from all the hands at Yuma Sector. The plaque read: "Actor: Always a Yuma P.I." It didn't take a plaque for Actor to know that he was a P.I.; he had known for a long time that he was one of them. After his probation had ended, Actor and Mundo had developed a friendship that only equals can share.

The Agents of today can only go to the Old Patrol in their dreams but, who knows, maybe some of them might have made decent Patrol Inspectors.

Bersin: Barry's Stooge

Alan Bersin, born and raised in New York and Harvard-educated was appointed as Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection by Barry The Pretender.

Experience? He speaks Spanish and worked under Butch Reno during the Clinton era. This week, Bersin decided to fight back against any and all critics of Barry's success (or lack of it) in managing the rising influx of Tonks. He declared that "the Border is more secure than ever". Really?

According to a recent article in the Tucson Citizen, any statistics Bersin may be using to support his case are bogus when compared with reality. If crime is down in Nogales it simply means that the smugglers have set-up their operations on federally-owned land such as the Coronado National Forest. If crime is down in Del Rio, there are more drop houses and safe houses in Houston and San Antonio.

If I was still wearing a green uniform, I'd be seriously considering resigning from the Border Patrol and hiring-on with a reputable outfit such as the Texas Department of Public Safety.

It's Ass-Kissin' Time for The Aggie

The Aggie (James "Rick" Perry) has been caught on the horns of a very bad dilemma. Why should a guy who makes only $150,000 a year be so unfortunate? The Sons of Confederate Veterans want personalized automobile license plates - sorta like the one on the left. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People do not want such plates available in Texas.

Normally, a commotion such as this would not affect a Governor of Texas. This one does. You see, eight members of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Board took a vote on whether or not to issue the plates. Normally, there are nine members on the Board. One of them had the poor timing to die before the vote. Oh, I forgot to report the result of the vote: 4 to 4.

Members of the Board are appointed by the Governor. Both the SCV and the NAACP are strongly urging The Aggie to appoint a new, replacement, Board member. Each side hopes that The Aggie, who has now burst upon the Empire-wide scene of the perverted Yankee Nation, will appoint a Board member who will vote their desired way.

Normally, political correctness would not play into a Texas Governor's selection process in this matter. Now, however, The Aggie has designs on the office of POTYN (see previous post for translation). Whose fundo will he kiss?

I Was Wrong!

I was wrong.

In earlier posts, it was my counsel to please let us keep The Aggie here in Texas. It was for purely selfish reasons. You see, should The Aggie be elected POTYN (that's "Yankee Nation" for the uninitiated), my fear was that the more-Liberal-than-Perry Lieutenant Governor would ascend to the throne in Austin. It now appears that our Lt. Governor wants to be the newest Yankee Nation Senator from Texas (when Kay Bailey Hutchison retires).

Dang! (it's a Texanism; please git over it) A University of Texas poll showed him to be in the lead of others who want her job. Dang! Dang! His opponents are a professional politician, a talk show host and a Tea Party guy. This probably means that y'all will be getting another Liberal Republican as a Yankee Nation Senator. But where does that leave us?

Should The Aggie be nominated and loose, no sweat. We'll keep him here as our Governor so y'all won't be able to curse us for sending you another George W. Bush. Like Bush, Perry spent time in the Air Force. Neither one has had any combat experience and, therefore, no personal aversion to sending citizens of the Yankee Nation to fight in silly, useless wars. Believe me, if Perry's intellectual betters (any of his advisers) told him that a troop commitment was necessary, the 2nd Marine Division would be mounting-out at New Bern the very next day.

Then there's the whole illegal alien consideration. James Fulford over at V Dare has explained it fairly well. You get The Aggie as POTYN and you'll get a whole new load of Tonks. It isn't so much as The Aggie would actually recruit them (as would a Progressive) or look the other way as did W. On the contrary, The Aggie's history here in Texas with Tonks is that he says what his handlers tell him to say, but he is clueless as to how to place his words into any sort of productive action.

There is another selfish reason that I didn't want y'all to take Perry as the next POTYN: we Texans have had enough fun poked at us during W's tenure to last a long, long time. We're tired of being portrayed as stupid, bumbling people who end sentences with prepositions. If we gave you an Aggie to be POTYN, that's exactly what you'd get. The whacked-out Progressives as well as the blue blood Republicans would make life miserable for us; at least until we called it quits with this "United" thing.

But ... maybe there's a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Barry The Pretender was the first Half-Black POTYN; maybe there is a season for the first Aggie POTYN.

Youthful Supporters of Barry

A band of Milwaukee Supporters of Barry (mostly thugs) decided to make the Crackers pay - for being white.

It seems as if they decided to roam the Wisconsin State Fair grounds last week and beat the ooh-wah-diddy out of random White folks. The numbers of Barry's friends doing this were estimated variously between 30-40 all the way up to 300.

They roamed the interior parts of the Fair and assaulted people by knocking them down, beating them and kicking them once they wee down.

There were 7 police officers injured and 2 where hospitalized due to injuries sustained while ejecting the Obama voters from the Fair area.

As far as the civilians were concerned, the size of each group of miscreants executing "payback-for-being White" was such as to warrant a "disparity of force" defense to any Fair attendee who was fortunate enough to have a Concealed Handgun License. None did. You see, Gov. Scott Walker just signed a CHL bill into law on 8 July. It won't go into effect until November.

Maybe Wisconsin should postpone their State Fair until the first week in December.

The Hogan's Goat Paradigm

Hogan's Goat was so irredeemably screwed-up that it was not understandable how a creature that far-gone could continue living. That, I imagine, is the genteel way of describing the phrase I first heard (as a Candidate) uttered by a Sergeant Instructor in the Marine Corps Officer's Candidate School.

As a life form, Hogan's Goat breathed and even walked like other goats did. He tried hard to do "goat things", but he was never successful at it. It wasn't really his fault that he wasn't a good goat because something had happened to him that had made him substandard among his species.

The metaphorical buggery accomplished upon Hogan's Goat has, in the real world, gradually penetrated the Yankee Nation. Reasonable minds may differ upon the exact date that such constitutional rape began, but what they can agree upon is that it has happened. The Yankee Nation has become a caricature of itself. It has, as Leviathan, become so bloated with rolls of useless fat (which fold in upon each other) that it can barely move toward its true North which is the Constitution.

Tea Party people become mightily frustrated that their Republicans have not managed to persuade the regular Republicans to defy Barry The Pretender's insidious plans. This is because the Yankee Nation can no longer bring itself to move in a necessary direction. It has forgotten how. Instead, as does a slug, it moves along a path of least resistance. There are too few people (Yankee Nation-wide) to make it happen any other way. That is why Hogan's Goat has left the barnyard and taken on a new definition of itself: a political one.

The nation that has become unable to do even the most simple things necessary to ensure it's survival has taken on what your correspondent terms the "Hogan's Goat Paradigm". Such has been the fate of the United States. As we all know, when the paradigm shifts, all rules revert to zero. That is why secession is a serious consideration at this point.

The "Deal" of 7/31/11

Why is anyone smiling about Barry's announcement last night? The Republicans have sold their birthright down the river. It'll be interesting to see how many of the "new" Republicans in the House have knuckled-under and will vote for this mess.

For the short term, Barry & Company seem to profit greatly.

No real cuts whatsoever. Baseline budgeting still in place, the 2013 budget will be bigger than 2012, the 2014 bigger than 2013, etc. Even adjusted for inflation, the Yankee Government will continue to grow at a rapid pace.

The "cuts", fraudulent though they are, aren't even real anyway - and not binding either. A 2013 timeline for actual changes means nothing, since the next Congress is not bound by what this one does, regardless of promises of "commissions" and "triggers".

In an essay published today, Victor Davis Hanson remarked:

"Behind the current mess and shrill rhetoric in DC are these two larger competing visions — the belief that the Obama agenda is the road to serfdom for everyone, and the belief that it will result in a long-overdue equality of result."

Indeed. Those of us with more than oatmeal between our ears have recognized that, should Barry somehow retain power, the 47% of the population who don't pay income taxes is going to increase. His theory of government carried to its logical conclusion would end with no one left to generate any sort or amount of wealth. An entirely new financial system would need to be adopted: one in which all citizens are "paid" the same.

One of my progressive friends enlightened me on where the funding would come from to do such a thing. The dialog between me and my Progressive Friend went this way:

Me: "If no one is generating wealth to be taxed, how will the Yankee government have any money to distribute to anyone?"

PF: "The federal government will simply either print the greenbacks or they'll issue checks that represent greenbacks."

Me: "I know that the only thing that would back the Yankee government's checks would be its word that it's actually worth what it says it's worth. But what about the greenbacks? What specie would back them."

PF: "The same as it is now: no specie would back the greenbacks. Like the checks, they'd be worth exactly what the federal government would say they're worth. What's the matter? Don't you know that we're almost there now? At least as far as greenbacks and checks actually being worth anything - at least as far as precious metals go?"

Me: "Yes, I know that and that's why I've been ready for Texas to secede for quite a while now. We'd back our currency with metal and probably just about everyone would be paying some kind of income tax; probably a flat tax."

PF: "Do you really think that Texas could survive on its own?"

Me: "Remember the Alamo?"

Arreola

Jose Arturo Arreola-Lopez, (who is now 25), killed a U. S. Border Patrol Agent in Mexico. Arreola crushed the Agent's head with a fifty pound rock.

Today, he was handed-over to Mexican Federali at POE Nogales, Arizona.

Arreola was 17 when he committed the murder of BP Agent Jorge Salomon near Bacocahi, Sonora while Salomon was vacationing there. The murder took place simply because Salomon was a known U. S. Border Patrol Agent.

It is informative to note that Arreola was found in a jail cell in Minnesota where he had been arrested on a drug rap.

Currently, there is no death penalty in Mexico. There is, however, talk of re-instating it for kidnapping, rape and murder. It seems that some Mexicans are concerned that the Cartels need to have clamps placed upon them. Also,there is no such thing as life imprisonment in Mexico. One particularly famous Mexican was recently awarded a 27.5 year sentence for murder.

Maybe we can hope that Senor Arreola gets a couple of years. Coupled with time off for good behavior, he can be back in the United States in no time. All of us know what he looks like now..... My goodness, I keep forgetting: there is no more Old Patrol.

Indian Billy and The Will To Prevail

During the days of The Old Patrol, Agents were trained early at the Academy that things were different than in the military. Several Trainees in Actor's class had just exited active duty in the Marine Corps and this was a bitter pill for Actor to swallow. At first, it seemed as if it could be a "deal breaker".

Our class of Trainees was on a fairly easy run: five or six miles; one of our classmates became too exhausted to continue and fell out. Naturally, Actor and another vet broke ranks, went back to where the panting Trainee was, picked him up and carried him. "No man left behind", right?

What rescuers didn't notice while struggling with their burden was one of the instructors, Swede, had circled around behind them. Actor realized that he was there when he kicked him in the ass. He did the same thing with the other vet Trainee. "Let Pork lie where he fell", Swede shouted. They dropped him and re-joined the formation to complete the run.

By the next morning, "Pork" had vanished from the Academy. No one had told the remaining ones why ... but all of them knew.

A couple of years later, Indian Billy and Actor were working a large group that had managed to cross the All American Canal about fifteen miles West of Yuma, Arizona. They knew that the group was disoriented because they had crossed over Interstate 8 and were still traveling North toward the mountains.

Actor had cut their sign late in the day shift and Indian Billy had joined him in chasing them. They were still following their sign on foot through the rocks North of the Araz railroad siding well into the night - long after our shift ended. Off in the distance, Actor and Indian Billy spotted them. Finally, they made the apprehension.

By that time, it was around 2300 and very dark. They were on the way with the group back to their vehicles when the cheap, government issue flashlight batteries in their kel-lights gave out. That's when two of the group made their move. Indian Billy and Actor were knocked to the uneven surface of the ground. The group split into two smaller units and began to run. Actor ran after one group of about four and got them contained while Indian Billy pursued the other.

The six that Indian Billy was chasing ended up wanting to fight him, but it was so dark that Actor couldn't see what was going on. All he could hear was the "thump" of bodies sliding down a rocky slope. After several seconds, Billy called out, "Actor! Over here! You got any extra cuffs on you?". He did. His Tonks were more docile that Indian Billy's Tonks.

When they arrived back at their vehicles, and loaded the Tonks into the Ramchargers for the trip back to Yuma for processing them, Actor saw Billy's face in the light of his Ramcharger's dome light. He had a three inch cut running from just under his right eye down toward his lower mandible. Indian Billy had not only survived; he prevailed. There was no one there to help him. Indian Billy prevailed.

Ciro Rodriguez (D) Texas 23rd Congressional District sponsored the original Southwest Border Violence Reduction Act of 2009. In it, he included $15,000 to fund BATFE's Operation Gunrunner. In case you haven't heard, Gunrunner funded BATFE's Agents literally walking guns into the hands various Mexican Cartels.

A portion of the Act reads this way:

SEC. 2. PROJECT GUNRUNNER.
(a) In General- The Attorney General shall dedicate and expand the resources provided for the Project Gunrunner initiative of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to identify, investigate, and prosecute individuals involved in the trafficking of firearms across the international border between the United States and Mexico.
(b) Activities- In carrying out this section, the Attorney General shall--
(1) assign additional agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to the area of the United States adjacent to the international border between the United States and Mexico to support the expansion of Project Gunrunner teams;
(2) establish not fewer than 1 Project Gunrunner team in each State along the international border between the United States and Mexico; and
(3) coordinate with the heads of other relevant Federal law enforcement agencies and State and local law enforcement agencies to address firearms trafficking in a comprehensive manner.
(c) Additional Staff- The Attorney General may hire Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives agents for, and otherwise expend additional resources needed to adequately support, Project Gunrunner.
(d) Authorization of Appropriations- There are authorized to be appropriated $15,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 and 2011 to carry out this section.

Since Eric Holder, the Yankee Attorney General had full knowledge of the operation, then it is very safe to believe that his principal (the Yankee Chief Executive), Barry, was aware of it as well. After all, you don't hide those kind of secrets from your boss - especially if the goal is to ultimately reduce firearm availability (which is something Holder's boss dearly wants).

Barry knew.

Brian Terry, Agent, U. S. Border Patrol (deceased) was killed by one of those weapons from Operation Gunrunner. Has Agent Terry's widow and fatherless children received any sort of apology from Holder or from The Pretender? Probably not. It's not in the Liberal/Progressive bag of tricks. Subsequent to my own very serious wounds received as a Border Patrol Agent, I heard nothing from The Great Fool (Carter). I did, however, get a letter while I was in the hospital. It was from Carter's INS Commissioner, Leonel Castillo. The substance of the letter was: "Dear Agent Nowhere Man: You should have expected to have been ambushed and captured. After all, you are dealing with oppressed people."

The mean-spirited arrogance of Barry The Pretender and his friends is legendary. What we know of the public side of his administration is that they have refined Carter's bumbling into a true art form. Quite possibly, Terry's family got a letter from Janet The Clueless. I wonder what was in it.

The U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez (across from El Paso, Texas) has warned that gringos had better be wary if they go into Mexico or otherwise hang around the Port of Entry.

"Information has come to light that suggests a cartel may be targeting the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez or U.S. Ports of Entry. In the past, cartels have been willing to utilize car bombs in attacks. We ask American citizens to remain vigilant."

It seems as if the Mexican Marines have captured a high-ranking member of the Chihuahua Cartel. Because of that, his homies have threatened violence against (1) other cartels, (2) Mexican Marines, (3) the public in general, (4) the Consulate office in Juarez, or (5) official border crossing points. Similarities between the cartel's threat and a toddler's temper tantrum are obvious, but this threat is not new. Any citizen of The Yankee Nation - no matter of what race - who doesn't already know that things are not safe for him in Mexico is either ignorant, deluded or both.

Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, seems not to fully comprehend that the Gulf Cartel (and other cartels) don't give two hoots and a holler for her opinion. She is concerned over "the high level of violence" in Mexico engendered by the narco-traffickers.

Mexico's response has been to mobilize the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and the Mexican Marine Corps to attempt to combat the seemingly endless instances of violence South of what that country calls the Rio Bravo.

The Marines and the SSP, it seems, are almost alone in their quest to put an end to the decapitations and other murders. At least twenty persons were capped last week at a Monterrey night club. Local law enforcement appears to be as powerless as the Mexican feds to halt any of it.

The fly-ridden nation of Mexico is one, huge, victim disarmament zone. No one - except the lawmen and the military - is allowed to own any kind of significant weaponry. If Ms. Pillay were really serious about Mexican violence and the Cartels' depredation of human rights, maybe she should suggest that Mexico's congress enact something similar to our Second Amendment. It is more than likely that none of the twenty persons killed in Monterrey had personal protection weapons on them (or within reasonable access).

The violence in Mexico will continue.

I know a few Progressives. Puritanesque and evangelically-oriented, they used to try to convince me of the rectitude of their cause. No more. All parties in the several relationships have agreed to a cease fire when it comes to the deplorable state of the Victorious Yankee Nation.

In the end, both will have been perceived to have "caved" by their constituent bases. Tea Party people are railing against Boehner for even suggesting the hint of a debt ceiling compromise. Progressives are, now, viewing Barry as just another sad and sorry political hack who will back down when a stronger bully than he enters the room.

Barry The Pretender has been lying to us for so long that it probably seems like truth to him. He told us that, during his first year in office, he would cut the deficit by 50%. Such has proven not to be the case. Through his failed Stimulus Plan (through which he financially rewarded his friends) and through the looming threat of Obamacare The Pretender has managed to almost double the national debt he inherited from Bush 43.

While the Masses are diligently discussing Casey Anthony, the real problem of the economy is being under-reported. Why? Probably because it doesn't "sell" well to the population of the Yankee Nation who would much rather focus upon other peoples' problems than their own. In fact, cultural decline in the United States has placed most domestic news agencies in the same general genre as People Magazine.

Right now, the debt ceiling is at $14.249 trillion dollars (increased from 9 trillion and change in 2008); something unheard of in all of our history. Putting it in perspective, a trillion is 999.99 billion. If you had gone into business on the day Jesus was born and lost a million dollars a day - every day, 365 days a year - it would take you until October 2737 to loose one trillion dollars.

Just one of Barry's panaceas has been to print fiat money - Monopoly money; lots of it. Backed only by the empty promises of its worth, this money (and government checks which purport to represent it) is flooding into the Yankee Nation with astonishing speed. The time will rapidly approach when other nations - the ones to which we are in debt - will refuse to take empty promises as payments. We have already borrowed money from China by selling them worthless bonds simply to pay interest on the debt owed to them. How long do you think Mao's descendants will cooperate with such an airhead scheme.

Barry The Pretender, hopefully, shall serve only four years as Chief Executive of the Yankee Nation, but it will take several generations to repair the damage he has done in those four years.

Exactly what has been the reaction of the Yankee President to this new development? Quoted in a Canadian rag, Barry's reaction was described this way:

"In a combative White House news conference, Obama forcefully defended America's participation in the Libya mission and said congressional leaders were creating a "fuss" over the operation for political reasons."

It appears as if Barry feels free enough to castigate others over "political reasons" but remains unwilling to fess-up to his own. Another blog author has characterized the Half-blood Prince as being "pathetic and dangerously incompetent". I couldn't have said it better myself.

Hence, exploration activities of the companies have made Eagle Ford the most happening shale play. It's probably no huge surprise to anyone living here, but Texas can claim at least 1.2 million Tonks as being resident here. We are second to California which has about double that number living there. The majority of the Tonks in Texas are Mexican. Nation-wide, the total Tonk population is estimated to be about 8.5 million (which is a 5 million increase since the estimate made in 1990).

During his last campaign for the Governor's office, Rick Perry asked all legislators to refrain from passing "divisive" measures of legislation. Perry asked for this because he said that he didn't want Texas to "appear like Arizona". Then, in 2009 and in 2010, he changed his position and called for State measures which would punish businesses for hiring illegal aliens.

Perry has long said border security must come before immigration reform. In 2007 and again 2009, lawmakers dedicated about $100 million to border security efforts, at his request. Now, at this point, the Yankee government has fallen down on this issue, so he's taken a stronger stance on employer sanctions.

This Aggie - this man-of-mystery - this will-he-or-won't-he-run dude needs to be held to account for the words his handlers have placed into his mouth. Texas, right now, could take a few lessons in creceando huevos from Arizona. So could Perry.

"Mexican crime groups have virtually taken over the pipeline system of Mexico's state oil monopoly, stealing growing amounts of fuel and gaining an important source of new revenue as they fight other gangs and Mexico's government, according to the oil company."

I was wondering how long it would take until the cartels began to diversify from drugs and kidnapping-for-ransom. Petróleos Mexicanos (PMEX) is the nationalized oil company of Mexico. It is the third largest revenue source for the Mexican government. Alternating between first and second place is the annual dollar amount wired or mailed back home by illegal Mexican aliens living and working here in the Yankee Nation.

Many believe that it is the Zetas (being employed by the Gulf Cartel) who are tapping into the pipeline. Whether or not it is the Zetas is immaterial. The important consideration is: how much (if any) will this cause the price of Mexican Crude to increase? If the price does increase, will it be enough for Barry the Pretender's administration to begin to issue new drilling permits for domestic oil production?

El Presidente Calderon has a huge problem on his hands as well. If the Gulf Cartel is siphoning-off sales and tax revenue normally received by the Mexican government, will he finally declare war on the Cartels and use the military to attempt to stomp them out? Either way, look for more Mexicans pushing lawnmowers in your neighborhood or loitering in front to the nearest Home Depot.

Prosecutions for attempting to enter the country after having “been denied admission, excluded, deported, or removed” are on pace to surpass 37,100 for the year, an increase of more than 1,200 from 2010. How can this be explained? The Republican mantra is that the Democrats want all the Tonks possible into the country because they are all future Democrats. Mr. Chavez in his younger days

It has frequently amazed me, as I drive upon a street named for Cesar Chavez or past a high school with his name on it. I wonder if people who believe that he was an advocate of the illegal alien know that he really wasn't.

He called an area just North of Yuma his home: Bard Valley. When I first came on duty in the Border Patrol, his folks were still living - and that's where they lived.

Chavez became an organizer at a young age (notice the photo above). He traveled throughout Arizona and California on behalf of what was, at first, known as the Valley Farm Workers. The organization, later, morphed several times and changed its name along the way. In the early days, Chavez' outfit was composed of I-151 (green card) holders or of full-blown U. S. citizens. All of them were migratory workers who traveled mostly between California and Arizona. Occasionally, they'd get as far East as the Carolinas if the work was slow in the West.

It was some time in the early 1970's that the Valley Farm Workers were having a huelga - a strike - on the citrus growers in Yuma County. The growers, not wanting their citrus crops to rot on the trees, began to let it be known around the border towns in Sonora and Baja California that they were willing to hire Tonks to harvest the citrus.

True to union form, the Valley Farm Workers were willing to call a scab a scab. Illegal aliens were coming into Arizona to pick citrus and to, effectively, put a damper on whatever smoke the Farm Workers' strike was generating. Chavez and the Farm Workers weren't going to sit still for that. One morning, about a hundred of them showed up en masse just East of the Port of Entry at San Luis, Arizona. They spread out Eastward from the Port with one Farm Worker about every couple of hundred yards. Every one of them was armed with impact weapons: clubs, chains, baseball bats, etc. .

By noon time, several Tonks had tried to run the Farm Workers' gauntlet - with the predictable result. All available Border Patrol Agents on the day shift were ordered to leave their assigned areas and to report to the desert area East of San Luis. The Senior Patrol Agent In Charge showed-up as well. Our job, on that day, was to defend innocent life: the innocent life of the Tonks (all of whom were unarmed).

The SPAIC, was a big guy; he was called Big Man. It didn't take long for the Agents to begin herding the Farm Workers into a manageable gaggle while Big Man sought out Chavez, the leader. Big Man spoke quietly with Chavez and asked him to take his entourage back to the union hall in San Luis. It was at that point that Chavez lost it and, loudly, threatened Big Man's life. Many Agents and Farm Workers heard it.

At that point, Big Man had a decision to make. He could arrest and prosecute Chavez for the communicated threat (and make Chavez a martyr). He could ignore it. Or he could let Chavez know that, since the threat that was made had no time stamp upon it, that, for his own personal safety, Big Man would shoot Chavez on sight for reasons of self-protection.

Of all those three possible courses of action, Big Man chose the latter.

Some years later, Big Man retired and is still living in Yuma County to this day. And Chavez? He never came back to Yuma County. Until the day he died, he conducted his organizing in California and Texas. When he needed something done in Arizona he'd send his subordinates. Big Man had a big iron on his hip.

This is the man who has been our governor for quite some time. We are familiar with his verbiage; especially at election time. He has an excellent cadre of handlers who are masters of coaching him in all the right moves and words.

Each re-election time, Perry declares that he's going to be tough on illegal aliens and border crime. His words are cheap. Today, the Governor of Alamaba signed some really significant legislation that will probably cause Tonks to flee Alamaba. Texas is still waiting for such legislation.

For all his bluster, Perry the Texas Aggie cannot deliver on much of anything his advisors have told him to promise. Mostly, this is because Perry has a job that is fairly weak when compared to the powers of Governors of some other States. This is good for Texas and it's a good place to have an Aggie if he's going to be a Governor: there's a Constitutional limit to the actual damage he can do.

But what if he were to become President of the United States? He might look great and sound good to some of you, but are you really ready to have an Aggie as President?

The Tonks, after they entered without inspection, tried to make their way to the Railroad Yards and hole-up in a Westbound freight train. The job of the Border Patrol Agent was to enter the Yards and eject them from the railroad cars before Southern Pacific pulled out and headed for Indio and Los Angeles.

About 2000, Airborne boarded a moving boxcar wherein he found several Tonks making their journey toward the Promised Land. Airborne was busy throwing them off of the moving train and Anglico was collecting them. That's when Airborne was blindsided by one of the Tonks and thrown off the train, himself.

Anglico was close by and witnessed Airborne's fix. Fortunately, the train was still moving slowly so Anglico hauled himself into the boxcar and ejected Airborne's assailant.

Now, at that time in his life, Airborne was a rowdy sort. His comprehension of frontier justice was rather complete in its application.. When he and Anglico had collected all the Tonks they had thrown-off the train, Airborne buttonholed his assailant for "special attention". To say that Airborne "wailed" on the guy would be to put it mildly. The Tonk understood. After all, that was how he would have expected to have been treated by the Federal Police in Mexico. In fact, the Tonk had so many bruises on his face and head that Airborne and Anglico decided to simply take him to a hole in the fence and send him back to Mexico with a stern warning never to come back.

Fast forward to the next night. Airborne and Clutch were working together in an area of California known as Andrade. The game that evening was to sit on top of a hill until a seismic sensor was activated and then race the Tonks to a choke point in their line of travel. The choke point was known as "the spillway". It was surrounded by sand, greasewood bushes and Russian Flax.

At about 2100 the sensors went off. Clutch and Airborne raced to the spillway and the Tonks scattered; each of them finding a tree or bush under which to try to hide from the Migra. Clutch has pulled several out from their hidey holes while airborne was struggling to extract his first from under a tree. Airborne was a strong man and he pulled and pulled on his Tonk's ankles but was unsuccessful in getting him free.

Finally, Clutch walked around to the front of the Tonk and shined a light on him. "His head's stuck, Airborne! Stop pulling!"

Airborne stopped pullung and found that the Tonk's head was, indeed, stuck in an inverted "Y" of branches. Then he saw why. It was the bandages on the Tonk's head that had allowed him to become stuck. It was the Tonk from the previous night; the one pushed back through the fence by Airborne and Anglico.

If the Tonk recognized Airborne, he didn't reveal it. He simply said, "Pues, Oficial, usted me pesco... era mi propia culpa".

Yanqui, Go Home! Donde? Taco Bell!

As much as I dislike being called a Yanqui (Yankee), that is what the Mexicans call anyone who lives North of the Rio Grande. Many of them (The Meskins) are so dense that they cannot comprehend that many of us are deeply suspicious of Yankees as well. We Texans are especially proud of the fact that we were our own Republic for nine years before our affiliation with the United States by treaty.

Rodolfo Lopez-Negrete, Mexico's chief minister of tourism, has appealed to the State of Texas to lift its travel advisory on his sad, fly-ridden third world country. Senor Lopez-Negrete concedes that places such as Ciudad Juarez, Nuevo Laredo, Cuidad Acuna and the like are not nice-to-be places at the moment. But, he said, interior destinations are much safer for Texans and other assorted gringos. Really?

Today, Texas Rangers took incoming fire from elements of a Cartel. This sort of thing happens frequently on The Border, but what about the interior of the country? For example, just before Spring Break weekend this year, twelve taxi drivers - and their passengers were killed in Mexico's mecca for tourists: Acapulco. There are numerous other examples of why Tio Rodolfo is puffing hot air.

Mexico is a place that no one should visit. It is a violent, dirty environment that is hospitable only to those who are permitted to be legally armed (which is precious few). Perhaps Mr. Lopez-Negrete would like to consult with the widows of the several beheaded Mexican chiefs of police who also live in the "safe" interior. Even the illegal Mexican aliens, hiding in our in our several States, know the danger. Do you think that they want to be sent back home to the Land of Manana? No, they do not; that's one of the chief reasons they're here.

The short of it is, if you want to take a vacation with an "international" flavor, just go to Taco Bell.

George Washington said it best:

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."

This was one of the foremost proven results of the War To Prevent Southern Independence (1861-1865). For the Federals, it was a question of power; for the Confederacy, it was a question of existence. The only thing resolved at Appomattox was the fact that the crushing power of Leviathan reigned supreme. The Fedgov had out-lasted and out-spent the "enemy", but it had not conquered their identity.

Given into the hands of those who would control others, the power of government (as we know it today) is the power to destroy or to bend. That same Fedgov has created at least two entirely new conditions of servitude: one voluntary and the other involuntary.

The voluntary servitude has been inflicted upon those who survive on the teat of the Fedgov. Programs to numerous to count ensure that all those who come within a particular program's jurisdiction shall be beholden to the Master for provision of some sort. The most notable of such programs is the one providing unemployment benefits - now extending to three years - and providing an easy market of affiliation for whatever political party or candidate making such largess possible.

With rare exception, people (should I call them "victims of the state"?) choose to participate, voluntarily, in this charade of being free people. Their condition is nothing more than a mockery of what a free man or woman actually is. The lie is apparent to all but them.

This brings one to consider the involuntary servitude of the present day. The current crop of slaves-against-their-will are the citizens who are paying for all of the "programs". We watch our money being spent by those who have taken it from us with the threat of force (the Fedgov). We notice that it is being spent, quite often, upon cementing the voluntary slaves into their position of fealty and dependence.

We, the involuntary slaves, also are fond of saying that we are free. The fact is that we are not any more free than are the voluntary slaves. Both groups will be perpetually locked into our squirrel-cage existence until one of one decides that the humiliation must cease. H. L. Mencken said, "Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under". One day, the humiliation and the shame will become too great to bear. Only then will Atlas shrug.

The famed Stimulus Plan has been a complete work of smoke and mirrors by our man Barry The Pretender.

* Obama's stimulus, passed in his first month in office, will cost more than the entire Iraq War -- more than $100 billion (15%) more.
* Just the first two years of Obama's stimulus cost more than the entire cost of the Iraq War under President Bush, or six years of that war.
* Iraq War spending accounted for just 3.2% of all federal spending while it lasted.
* Iraq War spending was not even one quarter of what we spent on Medicare in the same time frame.
* Iraq War spending was not even 15% of the total deficit spending in that time frame. The cumulative deficit, 2003-2010, would have been four-point-something trillion dollars with or without the Iraq War.
* The Iraq War accounts for less than 8% of the federal debt held by the public at the end of 2010 ($9.031 trillion).
* During Bush's Iraq years, 2003-2008, the federal government spent more on education that it did on the Iraq War. (State and local governments spent about ten times more.)

It has, in fact, been a grand bill of goods sold by hucksters who have more in common with snake oil salesmen than they do with anything that resembles statesmen. The Stimulus Plan was proffered upon us in the wake of the Bush-initiated bail-out of General Motors and Chrysler. (I can only imagine what Thomas Jefferson would have thought of that.)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, passed in February 2009. Democrats pushed the legislation as a way to create jobs and extend unemployment benefits through a mix of government spending, tax cuts and financial aid to cash-strapped states. It adds $830 billion to the budget deficit between fiscal years 2009-2019, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Whether of not the ARRA actually did get people "back to work" is not as important as the political philosophy behind the legislation. Succinctly, it was founded upon the assumption that it is the federal government which creates jobs in the private sector by either spending or by tax cuts for selected industries. In the reality of our world, the ARRA did neither with any measurable difference from the status quo ante.

More properly, job creation in a real Constitutional Republic is a result of what the government dosen't do than it is a result of what it does do.

The extension of unemployment benefits does not equate to job creation (which is not the Constitutional business of the Yankee fedgov anyway). The increase is fedgov jobs has been chiefly temporary ones with the Census Bureau and - more scarily - with the IRS.

How much more can we take of Bush 43 and his logical extension, Barry The Pretender?

USA today (probably proudly) proclaimed:

For better or worse, the United States and its allies have joined the fight in Libya, where a determined but disorganized rebel force is battling against a tenacious dictator who has vowed to drag America and its allies into a "long war."

I don't want to seem odd or unpatriotic but ... why? For what purpose? Barry the Pretender, grabbing at any excuse he can, said "We are not going to use force to go beyond a well-defined goal — specifically, the protection of civilians in Libya." Pardon me, but that's the same reason given by Theodore Roosevelt for sending the Marines there during his administration. In fact, it was during that time that Marine Lieut. O'Bannon was presented with the Mamaluke sword by a high-ranking Arab. My own Mamaluke is sitting in a closet. So far, we've sent the Libyans cruise missiles... but what about the Marines of today?

At least one source relates that 2,200 of them are embarking out of New Bern, NC for Lybia. So much for no boots on the ground. That kind of force is roughly about the size of a Regimental Landing Team (or whatever the Corps is calling it these days). Any way you cut it, 2,200 Marines are capable of extensive property damage as well as increased mortality rates among the local population.

One thing this state of affairs proves about Barry the Pretender: he is a liar. Starting new wars in the Middle East is just another proof in a long list of proofs of violated campaign promises.

Barry the Pretender and his Court Fool, Eric Holder, have been handed a stinging rebuke by the Supremes. It seems as if the the Yankee Department of Justice filed suit in federal court over Arizona's revoking the business license of any business that the State knows is hiring Tonks.

The case wound its way to SCOTUS wherein the decision was 5-3 against the bad guys.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion: “It uses the federal government’s own definition of ‘unauthorized alien,’ it relies solely on the federal government’s own determination of who is an unauthorized alien, and it requires Arizona employers to use the federal government’s own system for checking employee status.”

Beautiful! I'm glad that there is someone (or at least five of them) who knows how to think in that court. Roberts used the Yankee's own law against them and turned it around in favor of a State.

One question that begs to be answered is this: Despite their flimsy attempts at proof up to this point, if it were to be proven that there is a Tonk living in the Chief Executive's mansion, whose license may be revoked? It would seem that such a fraud would be the ultimate reason for a serious call to secession.

Eat Your Heart Out, Barry!

Our friend Will is a graph maniac. I've been following him for some time and this one (and its accompanying graph) was just too sweet to pass-up.

The inventory of private-sector jobs in Texas increased by 732,800 between April 2001 and the same month this year, according to an On Numbers analysis of new federal employment data.
No other state registered an increase of more than 100,000 private-sector jobs during the decade. Only 19 states and the District of Columbia posted any gains at all.

Even with an Aggie for Governor, Texas seems to be doing something right. Maybe that's because, in Texas, our Governor's main power is in signing the legislation that is permitted to come to the floor by the Lieutenant Governor. In that way, Lieutenant Governor Dewhurst wields much more power in Austin than does Rick Perry.

Be very careful if Governor Perry should he decide to enter the beauty contest for Chief Executive of the Yankee Nation. Here in Texas, Perry always talks a good game before election time and then goes back to his Liberal-appeasing ways after he had been re-elected. True, he does carry a laughably impotent .380 ACP when he's out and about. He even made headlines here last year after shooting a coyote with it while jogging.

As Governor, Perry's job is more ambassadorial than anything else. He has done a good job of enticing various manufacturers to relocate to Texas and has wheeled and dealed enough to cajole legislators into ensuring tax breaks for them. Hence, Will's graph shown above.

Before Perry's last re-election he went out to the Big Bend area of the State and toured the Border. He, then, proceeded to harangue the voters with tough talk about how he was going to stem the tide of Tonks ... since the feds weren't doing it. After the election, Perry sent 1,200 Texas National Guard personnel to various sections of the Border. The only problems are that (1) these Guardsmen are not actually on the Border (they're pretty far back); and (2) those of them who have weapons have not been issued any ammunition. Their job is little more than those flag worshippers who call themselves Minutemen: report what they see to the Border Patrol (who are, mostly, administratively precluded from doing anything about the reports they get).

Go ahead. Push Perry into running for Yankee President. But just remember what we say here: "Why did the Aggie cross the road? Because it was the chicken's day off.

Zadvyas v. Davis may not be a hot topic of conversation around the water cooler, but it does have some import for what happens to illegal aliens after they have served time (in the United States) for murder. In short, what this piece of case law allows is: no matter what crime a foreigner commits, the government may not detain him indefinitely while he awaits deportation for his offense. The immigration authorities, the court ruled, may not hold a foreigner more than six months before deporting him. After that, he must be released. In other words, if his home country won’t take him, tough luck for the crime victims. The criminal must be freed to protect his “constitutional right” to walk the streets and commit more crimes.

Between 2001 and 2004, ICE reported that, it released 27,947 criminal aliens, adding that 20,967 (75 percent) of these criminal aliens originated from countries where the notorious Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang members are known to be active. MS-13 is the brutally violent gang from El Salvador. Between 2001 and 2005, ICE released 45,008 illegals from countries somehow involved with terrorism either by sponsoring terrorism or supporting the terrorists.

All of the above happened on the watch of Republican darling George W. Bush - along with Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff - his Secretaries of Homeland Security. Barry the Pretender and Janet the Clueless are going to have similar numbers. Just don't expect to see them before November of 2012.

Yellow Dog Democrat Lloyd Doggett of Austin (Travis County area), Texas is singing the blues. It seems as if the conservative-controlled legislature has redistricted him out of at least 600,000 residents who voted for Barry the Pretender.

Speaking to a reporter from KUT, Doggett said that this action has "plunged a dagger into the heart of Travis County". It's strange how politicians tend to believe that they, themselves, are their districts. Similar to his Houston contemporary, Sheila Jackson Lee: if Doggett is the answer, it must be a really stupid question.

This individual is not a Tonk. He is a surly individual who could not survive in his own Third World country so he had to come to ours in the attempt to degrade our own gene pool. His country of origin is known: Mexico. Johoan Rodriguez, 26 murdered Houston Police Officer over the weekend. Mr. Rodrigues' blood alcohol level was .238 - almost three times the legal limit. You may read the details of the story here, but there's more to it than just what's in the newspaper.

ICE has reported to HPD that Mr. Rodriguez has been deported (not "voluntarily returned") twice: once in 2005 and once in 2006. He has also made an oral false claim to U.S. citizenship and a documented false claim to U.S. citizenship (both are prosecutable offenses).

Re-entry after deportation is a violation of 8 USC Sec. 1326 and is a felony. Why was Rodriguez not prosecuted under that statute after his 2005 deportation. Why was he simply deported again in 2006? Michael Chertoff, George W. Bush's Secretary of Homeland Security played a hand in declining prosecution of this dangerous thug. He (and his vile master) were busy prosecuting two Border Patrol Agents - Ramos and Compean - for what they maintained was illegal use of force against a repeat drug trafficker. Anyone who believes that George W. Bush, as the Yankee President, was not a friend of Tonks has to be a deeply deluded individual.

So, let's see what Bush and Chertoff have to their credit as far as Mr. Rodriguez is concerned:

Failure to prosecute a re-entry after doportation
Failure to prosecute an oral false claim to U. S. citizenship
Failure to prosecute a documented false claim to U.S. citizenship

I wonder how this will make Officer Will's widow and children feel as time goes on. Mrs. Will is scheduled to give birth to another child in two months. Barry the Pretender and Janet the Clueless (his own Secretary of Homeland Security) have assured the Will family - and us as well - that the U.S./Mexico border is as safe as it's ever been. In a way, that's true ... it has never been safe. But it is small consolation to fatherless children and a husband-less wife to be consoled with the hollow words of either a ruling Republican or a ruling Democrat. There is only one difference between any of the members of the power elite: style. In content, they facilitate the same result: misery. Leviathan has no soul.

Uniradioinforma has revealed an astounding census fact:

Los hispanos aumentaron de 5,2% de la población de Oklahoma en 2000 a 8,9% en 2010.

The Hispanic population of Oklahoma, in ten years has increased from 5.2% to 8.9%. The photographic insert in Uniradioinforma's article seems to suggest that this huge increase has been accomplished by illegal aliens. No doubt, there are many Tonks included in that giant increase in Oklahoma's population, but certainly not all of them are Tonks.

Given the Leftists' ability to supplement the normal voter pool with persons of questionable eligibility, this is a development worth watching.

Happy Birthday, Border Patrol!

On this day in 1924, the U.S. Congress established the United States Border Patrol as part of the Immigration Bureau, an arm of the Department of Labor. Its duties included the prevention of smuggling and the arrest of illegal entrants into the United States.

During Prohibition smuggling absorbed most of the attention of the border patrol, as bootleggers avoided the bridges and slipped their forbidden cargo across the Rio Grande by way of pack mules.

In 1933, the Bureau of Immigration and the Bureau of Naturalization into the Immigration and Naturalization Service were united, and in 1940 the patrol moved out of the Department of Labor to the Department of Justice. Now, it has been transferred into the Department of Homeland Security (along with the Secret Service and the Coast Guard) and not-so-ably overseen by our friend, Janet the Clueless.

Go Away, Tonks and Serial Voters

Today, the Texas legislature passed a Voter Photo ID law (story here). Tomorrow, Governor Rick Perry will sign it. This places Texas in company with South Carolina and Wisconsin in the attempt to remove one more avenue for voter fraud to drive upon.

When Lyndon Baines Johnson was a U.S. Representative from Texas, the standing joke among residents of Starr County was that even folks in the cemetery were voting for him. Many refinements have been made to that old fraud (not Johnson - he was unexcelled in that respect) since then. It is apparently much easier for unqualified people to vote in our larger cities than it is in places where most voters and poll watchers know each other. How else could one explain the tendencies for larger cities to keep electing Democrats and otherwise good Southrons to elect Machine Republicans?

I know ... the answer is "herd mentality and intellectual vacancy".

Memorial Day 2011

Memorial Day is a day which, originally, was designed to honor Union servicemen who had died during the War To Prevent Southern Independence. Several years later Confederate States of America war dead were included in the observation.

Texas has (until recently) observed 19 January as our date for such affairs. We call it Confederate Heroes Day. Now, there is a different federal holiday celebrated at that time and "CHD" has fallen into disuse in Texas. Shame on us.

This video is in memory of the Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Home Guard of the Confederate States who fought, and in many cases died, far from home to preserve Liberty and their God Given Rights.

ACLU of Indiana Has A New Logo

Those poor folks of the Indiana's branch of the American Civil Liberties Union are most certainly confused. They have introduced a federal lawsuit to attempt to block a new State law from coming into effect. The law would permit State and local police to either detain or arrest a person who has been notified that an action has been taken against them pursuant to immigration law. Story here

Their point of departure from sanity is illustrated by one Mr. Falk:

"For these three plaintiffs and many others in similar situations, this law would allow their arrests simply because paperwork — perhaps even paperwork supporting their routes to citizenship — had been issued by an agency sometime in their lives, even if they have committed no crime," ACLU of Indiana legal director Ken Falk said in a statement.

The "route to citizenship" is the new euphemism for "a way to allow a criminal alien to become a U.S. citizen". Such a person is a criminal because he or she violated existing law to arrive here in the first place. It is called Entry Without Inspection, or "EWI" (8 United States Code, Sec. 1325). Under current law, EWI's have no recourse to adjust their status from illegal to legal. Because the EWI has violated the law, the Tonk is per se "excludible". "Excludible" means that the person will be excluded from all others standing in line awaiting lawful entry. For them, there is no "route to citizenship".

Mr. Falk (and others of similar persuasion) need to be asked whether or not they have a social and cultural death wish. Thee is a finite limit as to how many people who have no desire to be assimilated the several States can absorb. The Mexicans' cry for the "reconquista" of what they call Aztlan is not simply the grito of a few crazies; for many, it is the burning desire of their lives.

Mr. Falk's confusion probably has its basis in either a deeply seated self-loathing and a wish to have others reduce the comforts of life which his trade as a lawyer has provided for him or it is based upon fashionable notions of "diversity". Those Tonks who mightily resist assimilation want to take away both Falk's comfort and any diversity that he may worship. Should he have any doubt about that fact, I would be glad to introduce him to some not-so-nice people on both sides of The Line who will assure him that he is, in fact, nothing but a useful idiot.

What Is A Tonk?

Tonks Misbehaving

People keep asking me, "What do you mean by 'Tonk'"?

The title "Tonk" is used almost exclusively by the Border Patrol. Before the reign of Jimmy Carter and his worthless INS Commissioner, Leonel Castillo, the term was used "in the clear" on the radio. Subsequent to that not-so-dynamic duo, it has been used only in private conversations between Agents.

Officially, "Tonk" is an acronym which stands for "Territory of origin not known". It is used to describe an individual who has not yet been intensively interviewed by the Border Patrol to determine his or her country of origin. As everyone knows, ethnicity is not a reliable indicator of nationality. Just because a person is of obvious Latin extraction it does not necessarily follow that the person is Mexican. Under Border Patrol administrative procedure it it vital to discover a Tonk's nationality. Mexicans (in theory), unless they have entered the U.S. without inspection several times, are simply shooed-over the border at the nearest Port of Entry. If a Mexican has been apprehended several times, the Old Patrol would have set him/her up for formal deportation.

An alien of Latin ethnicity (or any other ethnicity for that matter) who is not a Mexican national cannot be pushed back into Mexico. They must be put on an airplane and sent back to the country of their nationality. These people are known as OTM's, or "Other Than Mexicans".

There is plenty of room for confusion in the matter of determining nationality. Nationals of countries South of the United States come in all hues: Asian, Anglo, Black, Latin. Frequently, a Tonk from another country will try to pass as a national of Mexico in order to avoid being sent back to his real home turf. Some will calim U. S. citizenship (whether with the aid of documents or without). Should the individual "break" under questioning and admit the truth, the person could be looking at some serious prison time (at least under the Old Patrol's watch).

Let me be very clear: "Tonk" is not a term or racial derision; it is a temporary geographic description. Once, I apprehended a female Tonk. She was Black and made an oral false claim to U. S. citizenship. She claimed to have been born and raised in New Orleans. Non-withstanding her accent (which was nowhere near a Louisiana accent), I took her back to the station for further questioning. When she couldn't recall the name of the street in New Orleans with the trolly tracks, I knew that she'd break. She finally admitted that she was from Belize. She was no longer a Tonk at that point and we sent her home.

"Greenhouse Gas" Not a Threat From Texas

A story in the Texas Tribune tells it all.

Acting on behalf of 14 other states, the state of Texas today filed an opening brief in its case seeking to overturn a finding by the Environmental Protection Agency that greenhouse gases pose a danger to public health and welfare. According to the brief, the EPA's decision was "arbitrary and capricious".

We have quite enough gas-bags generating intolerable amounts of noxious fumes. U.S. Representative Shiela Jackson-Lee, with her triple crown weave, has been doing an admirable job of producing malodorous pronouncements. Representing a gerrymandered district of inner-city Houston (and carefully selected suburbs), Jackson-Lee has been unsurpassed in her seemingly never-ending quest to be the buffoon she believes herself not to be.

We Texans need not vote her out of office; she's always good for laughs.

Avoiding foreign entanglements is something that U. S. Presidents have had a difficult time achieving. The current one, Barry the Pretender, is no different. Today, Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel informed him that what Pretender had demanded was never doing to happen.

This, of course, ensures that the residents of the pretend country of Palestine will continue to chunk rocks, bottle rockets and larger rockets at the Israelies until the latter decide they've had a belly-full. Ever since the late 1940's (when the Balfour Declaration came to fruition) our Jewish friends have had to periodically respond with speed, force and violence to those who would exterminate them.

It make me wonder about the resident mettle of Southrons today. Are we internally fortified enough to resist extinction? Every time I pass through Atlanta I marvel at how Yankee-fied the city is and many of its residents are. Houston (a city more closer to home) is almost as bad. Lately, I'm having a difficult time finding someone who speaks English without having that annoying "Midwest Accent". As far as Spanish goes, Mexican Spanish is difficult to locate anymore around Texas' Gulf Coast region these days. It's either the disgusting corruption of Spanglish or a strange gutteral-sounding Spanish from Central America.

My friend, Edmundo, is just as grossed-out as I am. Born and raised in Texas, Edmundo sounds like any other Texan when he speaks English. When we both speak Spanish, it's proper and literate Mexican Spanish. Mundo's grandfather used to tell him: "Save your Lone Star bottle caps, mi hijo, because when the true Texans arise and begin the re-distribution of land, beer and women (not necessarily in that order) you'll be able to show them what side you're on".

The Crash of Texas' Sanctuary Cities

Y'all just gotta stand up for the Texas House of Representatives. As reported in a Copy Written article in the Texas Tribune, something good has actually happened in Austin (even though Barry the Pretender is there tonight "dragging the bucket" for re-election money). Assuming the Texas Senate will pass it (which they probably will), Governor Rick Perry will sign the Ban on Sanctuary Cities (Houston, Dallas and Austin) in the sovereign State of Texas.

The measure was passed on a 100 to 47 vote just before midnight.

The racist Mexican-American Caucus in the State Capitol are fit to be tied. Naturally, they are the ones screaming racism. Even the Lesbian mayor of Houston (an "undeclared" sanctuary-city-that-is-not-a-sanctuary-city), Anise Parker, is having a hissy fit. Her current rant is that the coming law will have a "chilling effect" upon witnesses to crimes and will prevent them from coming forward to offer testimony concerning crimes they may have witnessed.

Missy Mayor has obviously forgotten that it is against the law to enter the country without inspection and that re-entry after deportation is a felony. I wonder how many Tonks now living in Houston are felons. She may want them offering sworn testimony in a court of law ... I do not.

Zetas and Cartels

Diverse elements of cyberspace have publicized that Mexican Marine Corps's capture of Martin Omaar Estrada Luna, the presumed the Zeta commander in Tamaulipas (the border state across from Texas). In at least one of Mexico's drug cartels, the Gulf Cartel, Zeta affiliation is openly acknowledged. Because the drug cartels exist to operate by wholesaling product in the United States, fear of the Zetas is moderate to high among border State residents on our side of The Line.

In Mexico, Zetas have been responsible for the high volume of murders/executions in the border states of Tamaulipas, Sonora and Baja California. The average Zeta is former Mexican military and trained by people who were trained at various military bases in the United States. He may be a threat to Mexican nationals but he is hardly a threat to most U. S. citizens. The reason is: we are the consumers of the product protected by him - the Zeta. The cartel jefes would be displeased if their soldiers began killing customers instead of the competition (real or imagined).

The Zetas , on occasion, make short trips into the United States but these trips are simply to guard the shipment of product through desolate regions of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. The only people the Zetas encounter on those trips are Border Patrol Agents. The Border Patrol, thanks to administrative rules starting from Janet The Clueless and going all the way back to Jimmy Carter's Leonel Castillo have neither the equipment, training or permission to deal with the Zetas.

Mexican Backup

Airborne was a member of the Old Patrol. Before he Entered On Duty (EOD'd) at Yuma, Airborne had been a city cop - a motor officer - somewhere in south Carolina; Charleston, I believe. Back in the Old Patrol, most of us had military backgrounds. Domngo had been in the Navy, Edmundo was in the Army and your author is a former Marine. Airborne came by his name naturally: he was crazy. He was crazy enough to jump out of an in-flight aircraft for no other reason than someone told him to do it.

One day, during a particularly boring day shift, Airborne was working alone in a small corner of the AO known as West San Luis. The territory encompassed no more than several hundred acres immediately West of the Port of Entry in San Luis, Arizona. Airborne's AO included a small city park (ironically named "Friendship Park") and a river bottom area wherein what was left of the Colorado River flowed into Mexico.

It was in that river bottom area of cotton fields and scrub brush that Airborne found that he was without help on our side of The Line.

Day shifts in that AO were worse than boring for the Agents as well as for the Tonks. Frequently, the Tonks would gain illegal entry for a couple hundred feet just to see if an Agent was watching. If he was, he would charge down from his roost at a place knows as "the bodega" to try to apprehend the Tonks.

For the Tonks as well as the Agents, this game of cat-and-mouse was great fun as each honed their skills for the time the game would be in earnest once nightfall arrived. There was a considerable amount of drugs entering through West San Luis during those years.

In the days of the Old Patrol, Journeyman Agents gained and maintained a good, working relationship with our Mexican cousins on their side of The Line (more of this dynamic in a separate article). We did this because neither side knew when they might be in need of the others' abilities.

Airborne had had a rough previous night and he had no patience for playing games with the Tonks who would laugh and jeer at him as he nearly caught them - five or six times. They scampered back through the fence to their side, cursed him and flipped him off. Airborne had enough. He called the supervisor back at our station and asked for the Mexican police to be notified of what was transpiring and where.

The Mexican cops appeared within several minutes amid demands from the loudspeakers on their vehicles, "Alto! Parate!". The group scattered and ran (screeming and yelling) half a block into the Mexican town opposite San Luis, Arizona. Then, silence ... silence ... "pop" ... "pop" - the unmistakable reports of handgun fire. There were no more screams. There were no more yells. After a few minutes, the Mexican cops appeared on their side of the fence, smiling.

"Gracias", Airborne said to them.

"De nada", replied the Mexican sergeant.

Airborne returned to the bodega.

It seems as if this is a good start to bringing back some of the numerous oil field jobs lost (as well as ancillary jobs related to them - groceries, restaurants, motels, etc.) due to the bundling ineptitude of our Chief Destroyer, Barry Obama.

The US House of Representative approved a bill that would compel the US Department of the Interior to hold federal Outer Continental Shelf lease sales that it canceled following the 2010 Macondo well accident and crude oil spill. The measure passed by 266 to 149 votes on May 5 after several hours of debate.
HR 1230 would require DOI’s Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement to hold OCS sales in the eastern Gulf of Mexico and off Virginia’s coast, both of which were scheduled for 2011 before the Apr. 28, 2010, blowout and explosion that killed 11 workers and spilled 5 million bbl of oil into the gulf before the well was capped late last summer.

It's, really good to see the House of Representatives finally starting to do some representation on this matter but it may be too little too late. Assuming the clowns in the Senate pass it as well, what are the chances of Barry signing it?
